No, Kojima said that he wanted to name it MGS5 but Konami said that it was a no go because they didn't want a handheld game to carry a number. MGS5, whenever it comes, will be on consoles.
There's no way they're currently making and promoting two full priced MGS games for the same platforms, so if we take that 'Ground Zeroes is a prologue' thing as true, it's probably just literally the first hour or so of MGS5, and TPP is the next nine hours or whatever.

One of the Game Informer editors said that he'd heard that Ground Zeroes was downloadable game. So it very well could be the pilot episode experiment that Kojima mentioned recently.
There are two possibilities I think:
a) Ground Zeroes is the prologue mission(s) in MGS5, and also serves as a playable demo for MGS5. Kinda like Tanker in MGS2 and Virtuous Mission in MGS3.
b) MGS5 is a much bigger game and won't be coming out for 2-3 years. Ground Zeroes is a smaller and more modular experiment created as a sort of prologue-game to MGS5, like GT5 Prologue. It will be released later this year, and is meant to be very replayable, with a mix of free and paid DLC content being added post-release eventually leading up to MGS5.
IS THIS REAL LIFE?
I like my theories!
Is this CG?
Yeah, number one seems like the winner.I like my theories!
Do you even remember what XP looks like? It looked like this:GOOD
And XP? DAMN!
My theory:
Kojima said Ground Zeroes is the prologue to MGS 5, which i think means it's like the Tanker was for MGS 2 and Virtuous Mission was for MGS 3, both GZ and TPP are still the same game = Metal Gear Solid V.
I also think Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain are just the names for the trailers and the final subtitle to MGS 5 hasn't been released yet. (My guess full name reveal at E3)
The extension for the third line looks suspiciously like ".ps4"
I am going with the theory that GZ is a downloadable game and the big end reveal will be you have been in VR all along reliving a important Big Boss mission and you are the new hero for MGS5.
Will fit in with Jaegar's story of meeting Naomi, and how they became siblings under Big Boss.Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain are different games. What the point to make a mystery trailer for a game already announced?
The both games will be between Peace Walker and Shadow Moses incidents. Ground Zeroes starring by Big Boss and Ground Zeroes by a young Snake (yeah and Grey Fox too)
1964 - Virtuous Mission - Operation Snake Eater - Metal Gear Solid 3
1970 - San Hieronymo Takeover - Metal Gear Solid: Portal Ops
1972 - Les Enfants Terribles Project - ??
1974 - Peace Walker Incident - Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
19?? - GROUND ZEROES
19?? - PHANTOM PAIN (Outer Heaven)
1999 - Zanzibar Land Disturbance - Metal Gear 2
2005 - Shadow Moses Incident - Metal Gear Solid
2007 - Tanker Incident - Metal Gear Solid 2
2009 - Big Shell Incident - Metal Gear Solid 2
2014 - Liquid Sun - Solid Sun - Third Sun - Twin Suns - Old Sun - Naked Sin
More like ".psd". Probably a watermark or something. The extension for the third line looks suspiciously like ".ps4"
So maybe the GZ part is the beginning, shit goes wrong and Big Boss ends up in that strange facility and TPP takes place
I like my theories!
Join Hideo Kojima and the Kojima Productions staff as they demonstrate and explain the workflow and development process of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes on the Fox Engine. This session will mainly cover the key components and unique methods Kojima Productions utilizes in the graphics arena to create visuals seen in METAL GEAR SOLID GROUND ZEROES. Participants can expect an overview of topics such as asset creation and rendering techniques used in the next METAL GEAR SOLID. Enjoy the session as Kojima Productions unveils the FOX Engine for the first time.
Its a PSD Photoshop file on the lower layer. The video is 720P.. but in the bottom he also has a 1080P video. )or it looks like 1080p in the text line)
I just can´t make out what the text is..?
This is what he is talking about at GDC..
He is going to talk about how METAL GEAR SOLID GROUND ZEROES is developed in the Fox Engine... so not only Fox Engine.. so TPP is a (liquid) solid proof that he is trolling us again today... he likes it way to much.
Uninformed speculation! Ground Zeroes is a short prequel game to Phantom Pain ala GT: Prologue. Ground Zeroes ends with Big Boss losing his arm. Then we get Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain which is a rip roaring tale of revenge.

Did they ever confirm if Ground Zero's and Phantom Pain are for sure two different games?
I just don't see Kojima writing/directing/producing two different games simultaneously. This whole thing has been an elaborate ruse, and GZ's and PP are in fact the same game.
We all knew his right? No one thought Moby Dick Studios was real right?
MGS4 fell short of expectations. We know this is false because Kojima is incapable of making a short anything.
That certainly seems reasonable. But I wonder if they'd keep the PS3/360 versions of TPP/MGS5 if it's still 2-3 years away from release? The next-gen platforms should have pretty healthy install bases and will have likely already seen at least on price cut to help grow that base.
Kojima said we'd see the Ogre when he shows it. I think it may not be a game but something related to performance capture. He's been doing a ton of it lately. I'm not a part of TeamCG but he could be showing off something related to that at GDC.If Ground Zeroes is not Project Ogre(confirmed by Kojima) and if The Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes are one and the same then The Phantom Pain can't be Project Ogre either. So the question to be asked here, what is Project Ogre then? Mogren has Ogre in it and it is not a coincidence! And since Joakim Mogren is related to The Phantom Pain that led me to believe that TPP is Project Ogre which is therefore a separate game from Ground Zeroes.

Maybe Project Ogre is the marketing campain behind The Phantom Pain.If Ground Zeroes is not Project Ogre(confirmed by Kojima) and if The Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes are one and the same then The Phantom Pain can't be Project Ogre either.
