Anyone know exactly what time Hulu or ABC puts Lost online?
Nope and I don't think Comcast is going to get me one by 9pm EST.DeathNote said:you don't have a dvr? now's a good time to get one.

you can drive to comcast and pick up one before they close.bionic77 said:Nope and I don't think Comcast is going to get me one by 9pm EST.
Dammit! No one in this thread is helpful at all!
Oh shit. This is just like Lost...

TheGreatDave said:The problem is Christian was kinda instrumental in getting Locke to get everyone back to the island, based on what he said to him next to the FDW. That's not really a referee. He was pretty crucial to MIB "winning".

I really thought the season was picking up after The Substitute and Lighthouse, but since then it's been completely downhill.
Sundown:
This Japanese dude is one of the absolute worst and most generic characters introduced to the series. It's like they created the most cliche character to introduce a continuation of the worst tricks in Lost. His dialogue is horrible, and I just saw that fight with Sayid. Seriously?
"it would be best if you die." Seirously?
"you must kill him. if he speaks before, it's already to late." :lol
They continue to rehash some of the worst cliches of the show ("what if I told you you could have whatever you wanted if you followed me") and they've magnified it by introducing one of the cheesiest characters in show history.Granted I'm glad he died, but how many times have we seen the old "what have you done?!?!?! you've killed us all!!!" bit. I'm glad the show is finally done with the temple, it really provided the worst episodes of the season.
I liked the end of the Sayid alternative flash. It was hard getting too excited about John wrecking shit, considering it was started by him manipulating Sayid in such a cliched manner. That used to be Ben's game, and at the time it was cool. It sucks because I've liked Sayid for a long time, but I can't say I like this path he's going down.
Dr. Linus:
Some great Ben scenes/moments made up for some of the worse aspects of things. It really seems like the writers are on full rehash mode. While that last beach scene was nice, how many times have we seen it before. Or the whole "follow me and you'll get what you want lol" bit.
I'm losing interest in this show. I can't help but watch this thinking "I've seen this before" constantly, and the attempts at creating intrigue or mystery are so stale it's hard to get excited about things.
The alternative flashes reek of pure fanfic.
PhoenixDark said:Ignorant Lost criticism? No, what we have here is blind Lost apologists. Give me a break, the episode was a complete rehash, and even you named a few. This season hasn't been much but a giant fanfic.
In terms of "what have you done?!?"...the doomsday computer yes, but also Jack giving away their location to the folks on the boat in S4 comes to mind. If that's not a tired Lost cliche, I don't know what is. I'll try to think of some more examples.
In terms of manipulations, how can you argue the whole "what if I told you I could give you anything you want" hasn't been used many times. It comes off as stale and uninspired now.
And yes, while I loved the music during the beach scene it was just more tried fan service. This season has been quite weak overall. Sawyer is in the next episode so maybe it'll be good, but I don't have my hopes up.
After this, and the fact he has a 3 inch penis, his argument is invalid.gdt5016 said:

edit: Dogen being "original" to the show doesn't make him a particularly original character. Everything about him reeks of cheese, especially his shitty dialogue.
Nameless said:Breaking a computer, Calling a ship and drowning a motherfucker are three totally different instances with three totally different consequences all surrounding completely different sets of circumstances. You really can't even compare them. IF you can't see that take Darlton's advise and watch NCIS on Thursdays because it really couldn't be clearer.
I'm sorry but a dead immortal appearing to people and telling them he can change their lives isn't stale or rehashed. And again, outside of MIB starting halfway through last season how many times has it happened. The show wasn't even dealing with shit like for the first half of the series(in terms of # of episodes). Still, It's like saying that Omar robbing people in The Wire is cliche, or Dexter killing killers are cliche. That's what they do. You really are reaching at this point.
You're bitching about normal human reaction to uncertainty/suspense/profound actions? :lol Are you kidding me? :lolPhoenixDark said:Or maybe I'll watch a generally good show, like The Wire which doesn't have to retcon or make shit up on the fly. Seriously, gtfo with that :lol
If you can't admit the similar ideological jest of every scene mentioned in your post, I'm wasting my time. It's a constant parade of faith, and "if you do this, holy shit everyone dies/world ends/etc." It was interesting at first but it comes off quite stale today.

Lost and the real world we live in right now are full of hierarchies of intelligence. Whichever one you're in, they all have uncertainty and fear that extremely effect emotion.
A kid.. scratching dads car... "WHAT HAVE I DONE?!? OH GOD." Past Neo-gaf thread: "Gun owning man accidentally shoots wife at night. "OH GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE." (holds higher weight than a child scratching a car but they both experience high levels of fear and anxiety in their scenario.)
When the radio transceiver got sabotaged early season 1 it struck the audience and the cast members emotionally. We thought it fucked up their chances getting off. Flash forward to when Locke didn't press the button "OH GOD." (It holds higher weight than the receiver.)
Sorry that you dislike REALITY.
Go bitch about the sky being blue outside everyday and in a bunch of movies as well.
