It was one of the best co-op action games of all time (I played it on PC). The story was terrible, but at least it was terrible in an entertaining fashion. The controls, challenge curve and level design were masterful.

Ah, the Lost Planet 3 I didn't want while Ex Troopers remains locked in Japan. Money well spent, Capcom. Please don't create any more localisation teams but rather continue throwing millions into the charity bucket for failing western development houses.

It's hard coded in Japanese. Localization would actually require reprogramming of the game to actually translate it for western markets.
Contrasting colors are eye grabbers.
I'll be sorely disappointed if this bombs and they use it as an excuse to not bring EX Troopers over.

I have a really bad feeling about the quality of this game. Disappears for months, made by Spark Unlimited, handled by Capcom which has demonstrated an innate ability to fuck up even their best franchises...

That boxart is so bad. And the gameplay didn't look much better. I think this is going to bomb even worse than Donte must Cry since Lost Planet's fanbase was even more niche than Monster Hunters.

Ex-troopers got boring really fast, unfortunately. From what I played of LP3, it is unfortunately a big departure from 2, but should be good in its own way. The idea of a consistent rig to upgrade is welcoming.

This. The first game was pretty awesome but also incredibly frustrating. I think I played it just because the graphics were amazing at the time, and there wasn't much else to play. I remember the E3 demo knocking my socks off. I never played the sequel, it seemed terrible. This looks all kinds of awful.
