To start, a link to my other Sonic R/LTTPs:

Sonic the Hedgehog Game Gear
Sonic 2 Game Gear
Sonic Labyrinth
Tails Adventure

So yeah, I've had a LOT of free time on my hands today, so this is the third GG Sonic I've beaten today. I swear this is the last one I'll bother with today, so hopefully I haven't junked up the forums too much with this.

Like with Sonic 1 GG, the only prize for the Chaos Emeralds is a "secret ending" so I've decided to not give a damn and just count this as beat having run through all the levels. Same goes to Tails mode, because... yeah, this game doesn't feel worth the effort. It seems WAY too focused on the kind of crappy concept of grabbing 100 rings to jump to the special stages for the emeralds. Got the first 2 emeralds and then got to the third special stage twice. And... god I hate those stupid tubes as a mechanic. They're too fast to actually react to, so you pretty much just have to memorize what you're supposed to hold ahead of time. Yuck. Also, screw Robotnik and his little flying saucer instant death slam, got me twice because, again, it's too fast to properly react.

Oh well, at least I only have two more GG games on my list, Tails' Sky Patrol and Sonic Blast (already beat Triple Trouble a while ago, and I'm not going to bother with whatever "beating" the crummy Drift games would be, and I'll save Spinball for the console version.)

I can't remember much about this one except the not so inspired naming that is Turquoise Hill Zone.

I'll warn you in advance of Sonic Blast's Blue Marine Zone, hell I'll warn you about the whole thing!

This game was how I learned how to read the word chaos. I had been saying "cha-ohs" up to that point, lol.

I like Sonic Chaos
Part of that might have been spending my remaining wii shop points on it when I bought Sonic 4 ep 1, and then playing it immediately after Sonic 4 ep 1.

One thing I do want to say is that in Chaos and Triple Trouble, the games are very easy to beat in Tails mode, because you can fly and such, but you can't get the chaos emeralds as Tails (at least, you sure can't in Chaos), which means you have to play as Sonic to get the better ending -- so the game does reward you for playing the "harder" mode.

Still though, with either character, the infinite continues and easy difficulty make a pretty short, and bland, game. Triple Trouble's no better, either.

Triple Trouble's pretty fantastic for a GG Sonic game.

Triple Trouble and Chaos are nearly identical games. It's very hard to tell them apart.

You do know that GG Spinball isn't a port of the Genesis game, right? It's an original title. It's much easier than the excessively difficult Genesis game, which I at least think is a good thing; the Genesis game is way too hard for me to have any fun with it, but the GG game was a fun little game, which I played through and finished. Not bad. I recommend playing GG Spinball. It's more fun than all of the GG Sonic platformers except for the first one.

Anyway, if you're playing all the Sonic games, you can't skip GG Spinball. It's not a Genesis port.

Honestly, my biggest issue with Spinball on the Genesis has to be the framerate. The game runs terribly slow compared to most other games on the system and really contrasts negatively against the rest of the Sonic series. The base framerate is just too low for the type of game it is. The challenge is high but it would be more manageable if the game didn't run so poorly, I feel.

Oh wow, I actually didn't know that. Thanks for the heads up! I guess I'll add that to my list, then.
