Ah, I see. I am pretty sure that the amounts of drugs that lead to life sentences are not the the amounts you would use for yourself.

I'm sorry but i'm finding it hard to believe that it was dank. Where's the proof? Dank isn't something you can just see, you have to experience the dankness to know that it is dank. I'm sorry Mr. President's daughter but i don't believe it was dank weed.

First things first, pot should have been legalized years ago. In fact, it never should've been illegal to begin with. Definitely not when other much more harmful substances like alcohol and cigarettes are perfectly legal.
That being said, what are the weed laws in Illinois? Because if it's illegal there and ordinary citizens get punished for it, this should have repercussions as well.

Well, no arrest was made at the scene, and there's also no way they could prove it was weed since it's over now (all hearsay now), so there shouldn't be any repercussions.
Edit 2: Also, just saw the video. If this is all there is, than there is nothing here. It's very brief, and it could very well be explained away as a cigarette.

Tons of people get caught smoking weed and nothing happens to them, it's more a matter or some officers letting it slide and others not. I also doubt the police goes after someone if they see a video of them smoking a joint at a
fucking concert of all things.
Framing this as government hypocrisy is beyond absurd. She smoked a joint at a concert in a state where you can smoke medicinally and as it happens thousands of other times, there wasn't a police officer there seeing who was smoking grass or not, end of story.
It's not like Obama called an emergency cabinet meeting "Quick we uh... need to bail Malia out of this before a SWAT team charges in and takes her down."

Obviously if there's no evidence then there shouldn't be any repercussions, of course. But if there were, then a fine between $100-200 apparently is the standard.

Oh agreed for sure. If there was proof, and if she was caught at the scene, then she should have to pay the fine like anyone else. The law is the law, and no one should be above it.
Eh, I imagine that the 100-200 fine isn't enforced 100% for first offenders.

The only reason this should shock anyone is if they haven't set foot on a private college campus in their lives. Smart rich girls like to get high and dance promiscuously. It's what they do. And they are overwhelmingly successful in life in spite of (maybe partly because of) doing so.
because that's the time for many of these women to develop a certain sense of agency and confidence, without any parental figure to restrict them in their personal development by telling them how "a girl" should or should not behave.

The only thing that's absurd is that weed is considered a schedule 1 drug and that people are serving life sentences for nonviolent crimes related to weed.

it is government hypocrisy when the President, the President's daughter, and pretty much anyone with a brain knows weed should be at least completely de criminalized.
Hillary is not for weed legalization either. I thought Democrats were the party of science? Ah only when convinient I see.

He's actually a teetotaler. Trump doesn't drink any alcohol. His older brother was an alcoholic who died and warned him about alcohol. Trump never drank after that and is personally very anti alcohol.There's evidence of him using a far more dangerous drug so I'm not sure what he can say about it.
