Keijo ch157

In Keijo, swimsuits are a handicap. Still, that's some crazy speed to do all that within one second.

name.png

Miyata isn't that much better at giving out names, lol.

Iris Zero ch40

He managed quite well to avoid her this far.

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! ch21

I bet that chronatite splendidly bites them on the ass later, lol.

The very definition of falling upwards.

New Game! ch47

Nene sure sucks at secrets. Still it went well. I wonder if the three will collaborate on a game sometime.

Beastars ch42

Jeez, wasn't expecting that from Louis.

Someday, We'll Get There ch3

Dat double page spread about frame data. Wish ZTT would take over instead.

Aho Girl ch76-79

I wonder how Yoshiko's father managed to stay sane. Coming home only once a month probably helps.

A lesson doujinshi teach all too well.

Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari ch29

The final battle finally. The rings seem like they ain't shit however.

Hunter x Hunter

I didn't expect that at all. I wonder if there's even more details to his ability. Actually holy crap, he can use abilities of people even after they die. Neither of the other two stealing abilities we've seen could do that, could they? Man.

Not sure I understand how it works yet though, it's not clear what exactly he loses by dispelling emperor time

Hunter x Hunter 364

Well I don't ever want to hear people complain about Emperor Time being over powered again. This might be Kurapika's farewell arc.

I mean I thought it was pretty clear. Using emperor time shaves his life down very quickly, so dispelling it means his lifespan lasts significantly longer

No i mean how exactly the dolphin ability depends on emperor time, since he was able to keep the insect ability without emperor time activated and from the chapter it seems like Oito has to use it while he's in emperor time or something

I think giving it to someone is another ability of it separate from the user keeping a stolen ability and that requires emperor time to maintain

Isn't it because Steal Chain is dependent/formed from his Specialisation Nen, which he needs to access through Emperor Time? It's sort of how like Heal Chain normally wouldn't work well (since Kurapika only has 60% efficiency on base mode) but once Emperor Time kicks in, he gets 100% efficiency at Enhancer Nen and can heal himself/others completely in seconds.

I guess it depends on what exactly the Nen of Steal Chain/Dolphin stand is based on, but I would assume that it is Specialisation because it is concerning stealing and granting abilities (like Chrollo's Skill Hunter) so he would not be able to use it other than through Emperor Time, or he could use it but it would be on 1% efficiency (so a very weak and ineffective ability).

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, but you elaborated on it. To activate the steal chain he needs emperor time, but to maintain an ability passively (for himself) he can do without it as the efficiency probably doesn't matter. To maintain it for another person would probably exceed the efficiency he normally has in specialization, thus requiring ET

Someone in the HxH thread made a good point. Kurapika is doing the same thing Gon did against Pitou but in a much more controlled and thought out manner.

As an aside, the reason why Kurapika decided that they shouldn't wait for the next banquet and told the Queen to use it on an insect (despite the guy who he stole the ability from recommending against it) is because at best, it would have taken ~604800 seconds of active ET, which would translate to 69 years sacrificed to keep it up till then.

Kurapika decided on some dangerous conditions to become powerful enough to take down the Spiders, but he's not so suicidal to shave off 80% of his life like that lol

This I think is the condition, yeah.

To further add on it, Kurapika could also use Steal Chain to steal/place the target in Zetsu without Emperor Time (like he did with what's his name a few chapters back) because until he finished sucking his ability and Prince Momoze's Nen Beast got out of his ear, Kurapika's Emperor Time was still not active. His eye's became scarlet later on.

So the 1% efficiency only works as far as the stealing in his non-ET mode, but everything else needs him to be in ET otherwise it wouldn't work.

Yeah, although I think Kurapica would probably have to do the same to defeat Pitou, since their differences in Nen may be too significant.

Mm, I can agree on that. Then again, Gon did what he did in the heat of the moment, and was something building up due to his mental state being left unaddressed ever since he seen what happened to Kite
's body
.

Kurapika on the other hand got into the Vow and Convection stuff very early on in his training, and his Conjuror Nen training doubled with his Specialisation Nen training, along with him sitting the conditions after thinking of them throughly. So it makes sense they would be controlled and throughout as opposed to Gon "Take my whole life and drag my soul to hell, I just want to murder this dude, I don't care" gambit.

That said, it doesn't make it any less extreme. Kurapika's conditions on Emperor Time is crazy with the 1 second = 1 hour, and Chain Jail's "I will die if I use it on someone not of the spiders" is also pretty dangerous.

Well I don't ever want to hear people complain about Emperor Time being over powered again. This might be Kurapika's farewell arc.

I doubt it, there's a type of rice in the Dark Continent that can save his life. This development is likely going to lead to a Leorio arc where he races against time to save his friend's life. It would certainly add huge stakes to the next arc.

Fairy Tail

Did anyone genuinely expect anything more then natsu punches Anky really really hard with the power of his Nakama?

I honestly hoped for more than it to be a single punch. Has to be the most anticlimatic way to deal with him. Literally until that attack he was able to claim, quite rightly, that "Magic has no effect on me!". Until it one hit kills him, oops.

I can sorta appreciate the way it went down, with him going to block the attach with his arm that he lost because of igneel and not being able to compensate for it, but it should have been after a chapter or two of natsu actually fighting it out with him.

Yeah Leorio is long over due for an arc, the closest he got was the election arc and that was more focused on Killua and his quest to save Gon.

Angry Grimace

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"
I'm sorry but LOL that Mashima went with the literal

I'm just saying this chapter is really, really close to the gif down to the characters.

Minamoto-kun Monogatari 261 (RAW from 50ish chapters ahead)
Hoping this means what I'm hoping this means. It's basically the only development that could revive my interest in this. Shame the translations'll take about 3 years to reach this point.

Aho Girl

Yoshiko lost a fight to a mosquito and cockblocked her own mom.

That's Yoshiko, alright.

You people should be more careful with your open FT spoilers.
I had no idea that it would turn out that way!

Parallel Paradise 11

I feel like this manga is a huge pile of shit.

The Promised Neverland 47

A
parallel Earth where only demon's live, okay I guess
. I was kind of expecting more.

Sounds like we are going to get a time skip which I am not too surprised considering that chp 50 is coming up.

My prediction is that emma crosses over and ray stays behind.

Holy crap the Spice and Wolf novels (except vol 3 for some reason) have kindle versions now :O :O :O :O :O

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

why did no one tell me about this?

Thank god Fairy Tail finally is ending. What a waste of potential and everyone's time.
This is the final form of anime tropes. Punching the villain really hard for 11 years with boobie and pantie shots to fill the gaps between chapters.
Edit: Hey remember when that blone girl had to warm him up naked because reasons? Happens to me all the time when I take naps.

Semblance

shhh Graham I'm still compiling this Radiant map
A Trail of Blood ch. 9

Can't tell if those are tears of relief or tears of "this little shit's gonna tell them what I did, isn't he?"

The Promised Neverland ch. 47

Hmm. Not really what I expected, not that I'm disappointed or anything.

Oyasumi Punpun done

Wow. This manga sure went places I didn't expect lol. Feeling a bit numb now. Some of the issues the characters dealt with really hit a bit too close to home for me ;_;
One of my favorites of all time. I collect the volumes just to look back on it. I loved how everyone had a complex side to them, even the the 'bad' characters.
