I feel like this is the WiiU's last shot. If Mario Kart don't sell, Smash Bros ain't gonna either.

Woah, just now noticing that the Piranha Plant's wheels go into anti-gravity mode as well. I know it only makes sense, but I've never noticed it before.

I appreciate how Japanese videos are just super straight forward. Even though I have NO CLUE as to what that guy is saying, the visuals are set up very logically, so I get an idea as to what is going on.
 
I noticed they call the Crazy Eight, "Miracle Eight" in the Japanese version. I wonder why. I searched online for any kind of proverbs and idiomatic expression and found nothing.

Do you ever wonder if all of the new gimmicks are off putting to people who are only mildly interested in the franchise? I know that flying, going underwater, and going upside down are all seamless in gameplay, but in presentation do you think some people might decide that's way more complex than the older mario karts they're used to?

I know my mother felt that way until I explained that it is mostly cosmetic aside from some small things like spin boosting.

Yup...Exactly How I imagine it. It was annoying in the 3D world commercial.
 
The soundtrack is incredible.

Sherbet Land, Bowser's Castle, Cloudtop Cruise, N64 Raindbow Road, DS Tick Tock Clock, like 90% of the soundtrack is nothing short of amazing.

If they get this level of quality for Zelda Wii U, people's face will melt right off.

I agree, the Mii's now sound super-cute. And, yes, the word "kazoo" is the best way to describe the sound samples used for the Mii characters in Mario Kart 7 (as far as the male Mii's are concerned, as I rarely encountered any female Mii's when playing MK7 online).
 
It's crazy how this game just continues to wow me visually. Those japanese commercials are great. Definitely need those kind of commercials from NOA, they perfectly showcase the visuals and the new features.

Thanks. I know I need to get a 4th pro controller before Smash but at least it doesnt have to be now.

The $10 gas card at Best Buy seems to be the best thing right now. I suppose I can't complain with there being a free game and all though.
 
All the Miiverse pics that has been posted makes me think that the browser capture functionality for this game has been disabled.

I rather believe that so far the majority of testers don't even know the browser screenshot upload feature exists. Maybe NateDrake could see if it works.

Ok NoA. You don't even have to do make your own commercial. Just translate what that guy says and push out the exact same commercial. If I see a single real person in these commercials, let alone a family, I won't even be able to contain myself
