That's exactly how they made it sound in the video. I think assists in the traditional way of an additional character that comes out to help your team are gone, replaced with the infinity stone mechanic. I know a lot of people will be upset by this, as well as the 2v2 fights, but Capcom fighters have never let me down in the gameplay department. Not even SFxT. I am so hyped for this.

PREDICTION:

So I bet (calling it now) the Infinity gems will replace x factor. You choose the gem when you pick your character and each gem lets you get different buffs.

You basically get to choose the bonus you get from. Xfactor.

I'd stake my Wendy's double stack on it.

Yeah, I agree with the folks here that the Infinity stone mechanic will be a replacement of X-Factor and 3rd party assists from MvC: you pick one / randomized before the start of the match (MvC assist) and can only use it once per match (X-Factor).

I would say it's probably more or less confirmed with what they said.
Just doesn't sound concrete if you get 1 or 2 stones.

1 makes more sense.
But maybe you pick two, so if your first character dies you can have an option of a second thats a better fit for them.

This is about what I was thinking too, and I would be totally fine with it and it could add some cool team building strategies. Pretty much just different types of X-factor.
