Does either Ryu have a last name they could use to differentiate them with?

Doctor Octopus had complete art and a theme. Pretty cool to think about.
I really hope this character is revisited for Infinite.

These are some of the best choices for gameplay, but I'd also throw Kraven into the mix. You can do a lot with different hunting equipment that he can use. Traps, spears, guns, bombs, the lot. I remember people throwing around a lot of great Green Goblin gameplay ideas around MvC3 time, being able to detach and call back the glider to assist.Spider-man villain reps have me so conflicted, because I want more than one, but I doubt we're getting more than one.
It's between Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Venom, and Mysterio for me.
Doc Ock - his four extra arms would add so much potential.
Green Goblin - he's kind of the big bad for Spidey, plus he's got a fun personality and his glider could present some neat gameplay opportunities.
Venom - He'd be a great returning character from the previous versus games, and the fluid physics of his model could lend to some neat visuals. Plus he's edgy and popular.
Mysterio - Has almost zero chance of getting in sadly, however, as previously stated--his abilities would be quite the spectacle and his model with that mirror dome on his head would look great.

Yeah, Kraven has a lot of potential as a trap based character. However, I personally think he has a pretty lame outfit haha. I'd be down with his inclusion. His daughter looks much better, but I'm not a fan of legacy characters replacing the original unless their recognition has surpassed them by a wide margin (and that's def. not Ana). These are some of the best choices for gameplay, but I'd also throw Kraven into the mix. If Ryce's sources are on the money, Pietro & Wanda will likely be fair game for DLC.I would only add two more to this fine list!
Lizard - My personal fave Spider-Rouge, and one that I could see them doing a quite a bit with. Plus, if Talbain did get added to the roster on the Capcom/Darkstalker side, well, that's another rivalry waiting to happen.
Speed Demon - If I can't get Quicksilver, "because reasons" (or just because "Wanda is enough"), Speed Demon would be a nice alternate. Plus, after NRS got to have their chance to make a moveset for a DC-based speedster, I think it's only fair that Capcom gets a chance to do so for a Marvel one. Either Pietro or James would be great!

Probably already posted but, this shook me:
Then I realized its just for that mobile (I think its a mobile?) game. Marvel Contest of Champions....
The guys at Marvel & Capcom wished us Happy Holidays, too.Dear MarvelGAF,
Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday to y'all

Man, I'm looking through his list of rogues and he's one of the few Marvel heroes who has enough well-known villains to support his own fighting game roster.
Man, I wish Capcom would release the art and theme they had made for Doc Ock. Probably had art for Frank West also.
Yeah, I wanna see that too. Especially the musicMan, I wish Capcom would release the art and theme they had made for Doc Ock. Probably had art for Frank West also. Maybe if Doctor Octopus gets into MvCI, they'll show it. I assume it would have been his more classic design in the green jumpsuit with four arms, rather than the look he had at the time where it looks like he was sort of mummified, and had eight tentacles. While that look certainly wasn't as iconic, I feel that incarnation of him would have been better as a fighter since it had more arms and had drone bots. Probably would have been nuts to animate and work out though, especially if only four of his arms kept him out of the original roster.
Also as a side note, any of the superior foes would be welcome, though not expected.
Lets get Carnage Doc Ock

So regarding Breath of Fire reps, I'm still not thinking Ryu gets in (unless they go for Ryu Bateson, or the more awkward sounding Brood Ryu), but what about Nina or Garr?
Nina could be a replacement for Storm with her wind spells, and Garr could be the requisite Big Slow Dude.
Nina placed relatively high on the fan voting lists too if you recall.
She comes up just as often as Ryu in discussion from what I've seen.
Nobody talks about Garr.
Let's be honest, you really want him because Superior Foes

Ryu, Nina and Fou-lu are the BoF rep candidates. Maybe Myria too, since she was the main antagonist for the majority of the series, had a card in MvC3 H&H, and Capcom doesn't have that many big villains of note. But besides that, everyone else is a pipe dream's pipe dream.
Oh, and Happy Holidays, Mahvel-GAF.
It was a pretty novel concept. Execution though...dat gif tho... man wtf were they thinking with Phoenix
The big problem with Talbain getting in, is that Hulk will most definitely be in, and unless they change his move set, gamma charge and beast cannon are both near identical moves.
Though then again Akuma and Ryu have been in ththe same game for years with variations on th same move so it's probably fine

Look, Quicksilver is my favorite Marvel character, maybe my favorite fictional character ever, but he has as much a chance of getting in as Pod and the Zebra kids. He is physically and thematically similar to Vergil, a much more popular character( although he now wears a godawful purple costume). His videogame status is spotty and up to Disney's whims. He's only comic presence is one mediocre team book and.he's dead in the MCU
I would LOVE to have him in the game but very few characters have that much going against them. But hey, if the Browns can get a Christmas miracle and win a game maybe we can too.
Happy Holidays, everybody!

"He mashed L better than Viscant did!"I still have this gem in my favorites.
I really want to see Captain Marvel's special moves. I assume she has flight, an energy beam/fireball, and some kind of flying punch, but I really don't know what they'd do to aesthetically differentiate her from Nova and Phoenix. She has a fairly standard cosmic power set.
How would that work differently than Nova's absorption powers, especially in a fighting game? Her absorption would be pretty unique and cool.
