The studio just wanted to approach the full unveiling->launch similar to Fallout 4.Is it? Maybe I haven't been paying attention. Just seems like all we have so far is that teaser CG trailer.
Have I missed something?

What worries me about this game is that it sounds a little too much like Star Trek: Voyager, and that show kinda sucked.
The trailer was all in engine.Have we got anything from this game but a CG trailer? Early 2017? Good luck.
Hyping and showing off a game that's very far from completion rarely ends well. I like that they're unveiling and showing it off when things are more stable and they're getting closer and closer to the final product. They've done a weird job hyping this game, it's kinda been at two E3's now and we don't know anything substantial about it. I hope it's great.
I wouldn't expect it to take up half of EA's presser like Fallout did but it'll be at the show in a big way. Lots of gameplay, media blowout, etc.Oh okay, so expect a blowout at E3 then?
I'm sure they'll be very comparable.
What?
Star Trek is Vulcans, Klingons, Romulans, Ferengi, Cardassians, etc., and the interrelationship of these species and their cultures.
Mass Effect is Krogan, Quarians, Asari, Salarians, Turians, etc., and the interrelationship of these species and their cultures.
Star Trek: Voyager took all that and ignored it, moving to a different galaxy where everything was new (and rather unimpressive).
Mass Effect will probably be able to make this move much more ably, but it still kind of worries me that the richness of the world they created will be largely put on the back burner to focus on a new area with new species and such.
I honestly think that reveal was more of a "OK, people have been really asking for this game. Just show them .... something".This game had such a weird reveal, honestly.
Would it make sense, tho?

I just hope that there is more emphasis on exploration.. and colonization.... and please no secret ancient race hell bent on killing everyone

I suspect that, instead of a mighty and ancient race, it'll be you and your team the ones who want to kill everyone and everything. You know. Survival.
If I'm correct, the paragon and the renegade choices will be...interesting.

RIP Mass Effect.Going to be a marvelous Birthday. LOVE ME SOME MASS EFFECT - HAVE TO CAP LOCKS IT JUST TO SHOW YOU THAT IM YELLING THIS WITH LOVE!
wonder how the paragon/evil system will work. Frostbite engine going to loooove lovely!
We'll probably see some gameplay at E3 though it likely won't be playable.

New Species: Remnants, an ancient race who've left ruins and technology throughout the galaxy. And Khet, seemingly antagonistic.
MISSIONS TYPES AND MULTIPLAYER:
Remnant Vault Raids: Ancient ruins in two variants. Standard: Accessed by finding and activating Remnant Monoliths, explored to find a "powerful artefact". Acquiring artefact triggers defence systems: robots, traps, and restructured layout. Rewards with valuable loot, crafting resources, and Star Keys. Orbital Facilities: Unlocked with Star Keys, provide permanent stat bonuses, and optional higher difficulty vault raids that add Khet patrols and outlaws. Rewards with rare loot and narrative acclaim.

The thing I'm most looking forward to is biotics in the frostbite engine. Let me detonate some crates on people's heads or something.
