Masuda announcing something on Pokemon Smash next Sunday

Pokemon Rainbow

Choose which kid you begin with in which region. Every region outside your own is accessible once you've conquered your own.

maybe in the future?

What are the chances of CoroCoro leaks revealing the game in the coming few days?

I think what is more likely is that Nintendo will announce the game at the conference on the 13th and then Masuda comes on Pokemon Smash and announces a bunch of new features.

I loved the TCG games for GBC, so I could definitely do with more like that.

Or shoot, how about more Mystery Dungeon?

Oh yeah I forgot about the conference.

I remember from the HearGold and SoulSilver days, the CoroCoro leaks were generally out around this time. So I'm guessing it's either them or the conference that will reveal the games first.

Pokemon TerraRuby and AquaSapphire incoming, folks.
Mark my words, this announcement will be the Ruby/Sapphire remakes announcement.
Would be cool, always wanted to play as May. I'm suspecting it'll be Grey/Gray, though.

Maybe they'll start going into elements? Pokemon hydrogen and helium?
Or better yet, emotions. Pokemon Love & Hate, heh.

They're in a tricky position. At this point, Nintendo wants all of their efforts on the 3DS, but they also still have Grey in the pipleline. They could always scrap it and just move onto the 6th generation or make Grey 3DS only to get some experience with the engine.

Make Grey 3DS enhanced. Playable on DS, but if you play on 3DS you get to use the bigger top screen and 3D effect, and maybe even open up a new area or something.

Im beginning to think maybe it will be some other breed of Pokemon spin-off entirely. But whatever it is, it better be good, for Masuda to be announcing it. Theres also a good chance the information will be available before this date, through CoroCoro or Nintendo's conference.

I feel like every time this show has something new to reveal by the time its revealed on the show we've already known about it for at least a week.

I think they do these TV announcements more for all the Pokemon fans who don't go on the internet to read videogame news.

That was my assumption, especially considering that the Pokémon Centers have started hinting at the RS PokéDolls they'll be releasing in November.

tbh if they used Pokemon R/S remakes as a launching ground for the 3DS engine i'd be pleased. While it was not my fav gen i still like it.

It'll be a chance for the Hoenn region to redeem itself in the eyes of the fans worldwide.

I really, really don't think this is technically possible.

I'm sorry ;_; If it's any worth i do think that gen had the best assortment of starters.
He, totally agree. Full powered Blaziken or Sceptile are awesome.

My main problem with R/S is that... I always felt that the area's in the game never became exciting. Really hard to explain.

I agree it just felt really..dull. Now if it was fully 3D stuff like meteor falls, and the water surfing would be crazy good looking.

My favourite area of Hoenn is probably Fortree City and the rainy routes between it and Mauville/Mt. Spire. The rest of the world felt really odd though. The thing that really killed RSE for me though was the poor post-game and the naff beginning. The game doesn't really kick into gear until you reach Slateport.

I'm hoping for either Pokemon AR Snap, Pokemon TCG Online, or a new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon... any one of those three would get me super excited. Heck, even a Pokemon Stadium/Battle Revolution type title would get me excited. I'm just getting bored of the mainline titles and would like more of a break... I think they'll release Grey for 3DS, but they'll probably wait until next year when more people have a 3DS.

I'm surprised we didnt get at least one more full featured stadium game for the Wii. That seemed to be the standard since N64 (well japan got 3 titles on N64, but still). Maybe they'll do one for the 3DS before heading full speed into a 3D main series title?

Yeah, R/S/E's world doesn't feel "right" if you like at it's design. There were a lot of weird transitions of routes in Hoen. While walking around after Mauville you'll just come across a desert. Out of nowhere. Other games in the series have a more "natural" progression while traveling. I've played a bit of Black/White and that world feels more coherent.

I've always felt that RSE (emerald especially) had the best sense of adventure out of the whole series. Between the abandoned ship, the desert ruins, the underwater tunnels, the ditto cave, the Regis, mirage island, Kyogre/Groudon hiding around the world...

It was the first time it felt like there really was somethi9ng new to discover every time you turned on the game.

THAT was some serious BS. I looked excitedly for that island each day for probably over a year only to be forever disappointed. :(
