...and I just noticed the 3:1 ratio for Rune Factory. Interesting stuff. I suspect if it were Wii-only, it might have hit somewhere around the 25k mark, but another 15k on top of that for making it multiplat (with likely little in the way of extra dev cost) must be encouraging for Marvelous.

Disgaea 4 did on par, will not be enough to save N1 from death.
Rune Factory Oceans PS3 outsold Wii 3:1, not sure if MMV considers 40k total "good". Probaly not, MMV will die soon too.

Wow, surprisingly low sales figures for Nintendogs. What this says to me is the first round of buyers was the hardcore market almost entirely. I'm sure Nintendogs will have great legs as more and more kids get the system.

Not really. As pointed out in previous threads, a drop-off like that for a "core" title in Japan is pretty commonplace nowadays.

I'd say it has more to do with the fact that casuals aren't usually the ones who wait in line for hours at the launch of the new gaming system. The hardcore gamers were predominantly the ones preordering months in advance and waiting in line for one, so it makes sense that a game with a little more core appeal would sell better. At this moment I don't think it had much to do with the price.
