Bandai Namco's behavior when new platforms launch is atrocious. Took a year to make a game for the PS4, now they're not showing up on the Switch at launch. I think it's going to bite them in the ass in the long run.

Actually, I wonder if Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 could be released not too far from launch, like end of March / beginning of April. It was playable at the Japanese event, so I believe it shouldn't be too far.

Also, next week Tekken 7's release date will be announced, and finally you'll all mock at me when no Switch version appears!

Damn, how many ps4pro's have sold in total? 146K?

No wonder FF15 and many many other games aren't bothering with updated or any patches for it at all.

I'm pretty sure Pro has supply issues in Japan since December... it is selling what is restocked.

PS4 dropped but Pro continue flat.

Given that the 3ds, vita, Wii U and PS4 all managed to launch over 300K, anything much less than that for Switch would be a bad sign.

Didn't know that, thanks. So, Sony can't make enough PSVR to meet demand. They have a new wireless headset out for Ps4 on the 12th, yet it still isn't out.

They have Ps4Pros that are difficult to get, at least in Japan last month.

Wonder what's causing all these hardware supply issues.

OLED screen apparently.

Right, but the Platinum headset doesn't have an OLED.

Neither does the Ps4Pro.

All 3 seem to have supply issues was all I'm saying. Is any other Sony hardware having problems like this? Or just their Playstation stuff? I have one of their TV's, but really i'm mostly in the market for the Playstation stuff, so it's what i've noticed.

I guess the production line for Pro is small and not enough to supply WW... Germany seems to have some supply issues early January too.

Looks like they focused in US and shipped more to there.

In Japan from the evidences most retail stores have sold out and online only 3rd party with higher price are selling it... even so every week it sells near 10k without drop... I guess that means some kind of restock is happening but below the demand yet.

i hope to read something about in Sony earnings late this month.

They just focused on the U.S for the Pro at first as they probably assumed they would demand it the most. It's easy to get over here. I'd imagine they'll start evening out the supply here soon

I want to wait a bit more because so far software wise we could only predict for Nintendo Switch games (Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Oddyssey, Splatoon 2 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe).

Has Square Enix officially confirmed that Dragon Quest XI will be released this year on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS?

YSO predictions

01. [PS4] Kingdom Hearts HD II.8: Final Chapter Prologue < 125k (average 115k)
02. [PSV] Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony < 70k (average 60k)
03. [3DS] Pokemon Sun / Moon < 60k (average 50k)
00. [PSV+PS4] Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony < 115k (average 95k)
So both KH 2.8 and V3 did better then upper limit of YSO. And pokemon much less then the average.

PS4 selling more than they can make that's what's happening.

Pro sold 238k in NPD for december, ps4 sold almost 1.6 million

I dont think its supply constrained.

What? Where did you got this info?

of course it's not supply constrained (in US that is), I assume US and UK are where most of the Pro supply went to. Still wait list till Feb/March here (SEA) :|

The handheld nature of the entrees after 2 really did a number on the sales potential of the franchise, but i guess that is what they get for running after handheld popularity in Japan? GBA, DS, PSP, 3DS

358/2 Days was requested by Nintendo. Coded was requested by Disney. Birth by Sleep was the only KH game planned by Nomura from the start and was originally being developed for the PS2 until it was shifted to PSP because the Osaka team had no experience with HD hardware, which the Tokyo team were struggling with (PS3). Re:Coded on DS was a simple way to get KH fans in the West to play it. Nintendo requested a KH game for 3DS. Also, Chain of Memories on GBA wasn't even Nomura's vision for the game, hence Re:COM later on PS2. Out of all those games, none were purposely chosen for SE to run after the handheld market. Things just happened that way.

Umm excuse me use the perfect version of perfection please

KH 3 will probably be Sora again?

Would be weird if he weren't since he's the main character of the series. lol

What that has to do with supply issues in Japan???

TBF I doubt it's particularly supply constrained in Japan either. They're not shipping very much to japan for a very good reason. If it's selling like that in the US how much of a market would you expect their to be in Japan

So who requested CoM on GBA if Nomura didn't originally want it?

He wanted it, but not on GBA hence the remake. It would have been too much to put the game on PS2 initially while working on KH2 as well though. Putting it on GBA allowed them to work on both projects concurrently

Bandai Namco's behavior when new platforms launch is atrocious. Took a year to make a game for the PS4, now they're not showing up on the Switch at launch. I think it's going to bite them in the ass in the long run.

Isn't dragon ball pretty much ready? Maybe not day one but should be in the launch window

The original image is what I found first on Google images. lol

Would be weird if he weren't since he's the main character of the series. lol

Basically Nomura hates N hardware so no KH3 despite the UE4, right?

Given that the 3ds, vita, Wii U and PS4 all managed to launch over 300K, anything much less than that for Switch would be a bad sign.

I know my 250k prediction was unpopular but

Switch is expansive, way more pricy than 3ds and Vita
Launches with a 3D Zelda, not exactly the hottest brand in Japan
Isn't a portable console at least in its initial phase on the market
Isn't a very well supported home console as a Sony one from third parties so for example we know that it will have DQXI but the main difference is that ps4 had FFXV in the pipeline from the beginning as an exclusive game, in Japan, while DQXI will be available on other console on the market that are more popular right now than Switch
Doesn't seem to be an,e to confirm its possible portable natur, not only price wise but especially software wise, with (for the mass market) no clue about Pokemon nor monster hunter
Launches in a non holiday period

TBF I doubt it's particularly supply constrained in Japan either. They're not shipping very much to japan for a very good reason. If it's selling like that in the US how much of a market would you expect their to be in Japan
It is sold out in most retail and online stores... that means it is supply constrained.

My point is even if it wasn't chances of it selling very much is low. That's why they're in no rush to restock it. I doubt retailers are begging for more stock.

More 3DS fire Emblems means the 3DS ain't dead yet. The king powers on
