Surprised at Lollipop and so very happy for Vita.

They just gotta keep a pace up with releases and the system will do well.

Anything else next after P4 for Vita that might result in a bump?

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
16 June 2011: The release date of Ocarina of Time 3D, the first 3DS game to be on the throne for Famitsu
14 June 2012: The release date of Persona 4 The Golden, the first Vita game to be on the throne for Famitsu.

Unbelievable.

Wow.

Dragon quest in worst case should be 40-50k this week so good for Persona.

And Lolipop Chainsaw lol that's almost Nintendo like legs.

What's kinda depressing is that neither game is original. Sure Persona may have more content in comparison to Zelda, but it's still a port.

Their support for 3DS isn't that different than it was for the DS, outside of SMT4. And Strange Journey should have given strong hints as to where they were going with mainline SMT.

Does this imply Atlus is not jumping on 3DS? Expected or not, it's putting quite a remarkable effort on that platform. On DS, Atlus started way slower, with the first MegaTen in 2009 (Devil Survivor) and before that just experiments (Trauma Center, Etrian Odyssey).

It doesn't indicate that Vita is saved or on an upward trend, but it does show that it will sell if there is software available, once the Vita has a consistent amount of software then the hardware will see healthy sales. And it will happen, probably not until well into next year though.

Hmm so you expect it will have 10k sales on the week where White Vita and MGS collection release ?

Ok, so the week after that.

June is a quite good month for PSVita, it could easily sell 60-70k units, as 3DS last week.

Software must also be appealing. Persona is a strong IP on Sony platforms, as well as Hatsune Miku, but boosts like the one during previous week are really not relevant.

Of course it will sell if it has software, that's the same for every system. The hardware price definitely doesn't help, but it's not the core issue.

The problem for the Vita has always been that publishers aren't lining up to make games for it. And while Persona looks to have done well there are other titles that didn't, so it's not a rosy sales picture all round.

Not surprised at Lollipop. Seen it advertised everywhere.

Previous Grasshopper flops were clearly due to Capcom/MMV failures! :p

Very positive sign for Vita having finally a 1st place in terms of software!
It seems also good hanging for DQ and good debut for Lollipop.
Let's see how the HW will perform...

More curious about the hardware numbers, if there is an actual respectable bump or if the sales are mostly to current owners.

Let's hope you guys are wrong, wth.
