Media Create Sales: Week 30, 2015 (Jul 20 - Jul 26)

so what about Dengeki numbers ? are similar to Famitsu or M-C or totally different ?

cause in the former case I don't understand all those sarcasm of Famitsu numbers, higher numbers for Sony platforms = accurately data ? lol

Nintendo numbers are pretty similar, so all those "luls" and "famitsu chartz" comments are adding nothing to the discussion....

Bad and basic looking 3D graphics and using FMV scenes from the anime doesnt look like higher(er) production values to me - unless you are seeing something i dont. Hard to tell anyway from the screenshots - we should get a trailer soon.
I expected it to be pretty much a straight port of the mobile title, maybe with a Candy Crush esque map.

Can we declare this accurate, or did they adjust their projection to match official data?

Why are strippers at the U.N. bad when they're great at strip clubs???

If I'm not mistaken Softbank sold a portion of their holdings in Gungho right?

There's a Monster Strike 3DS title coming? Wut. I didn't know that.

Well the first Puzzle & Dragons was a success on the 3DS, so might as well.

Nintendo getting all dat mobile monies lol

Monster Strike 3DS gonna turn out to be as trashy as PADZ most likely.

Falls in line with the general sentiment I've been experiencing from PAD players. The delay and eventual cancellation of the anticipated roguelike mode probably didn't help things either. The new stuff GungHo announced recently and detailed in those reports doesn't seem to be exciting many players.

Seems like every dragonesque is shoehorning in co-op to ride that Monster Strike gravy train. Puyo Puyo Quest is currently beta testing a multiplayer mode as well.

I think Summons Board is going to be a game to watch out for. It's been out for a while but interest in the game has risen recently for whatever reason.

Were there any DLC plans for Fire Emblem If, like Awakening?

Big 3rd campaign DLC, but also weekly DLC maps. So far, there's less maps than for FEA announced, but we're not quite sure how many waves there will be... I believe FEA had two main waves of DLC maps, right?

Poor Yoshi
It's getting nowhere fast.

Rhythm Heaven and especially Splatoon showing those legs. Splatoon even increasing.

Langrisser flopping as expected. Not much else interesting

What's wrong with P&DZ out of curiosity? It seems fun from what little I've played thus far.
It's very easy compared to the smartphone game and was basically an advertisement for the mobile game. It is the reason why the game had such a severe post-launch dropoff and also why Mario P&D did poorly.

Yes. There was some time between both, and the 2nd one only was greenlighted due to the 1st's success. The first promo video was even made before the wave itself was complete and had some promo artwork that had nothing to do with the final maps (like Lissa in a maid costume). FEA's first wave was much bigger than FEIf's first wave though (Not counting the 3rd path campaign, of course).

Outside of the third route, I mean. Awakening had loads of character DLCs as well as some gimmick maps, I don't recall hearing anything similar here. I brought it into question because Nintendo was really proud of Awakening's DLC back then.

Then again, you can say the second campaign of If, whichever path you chose, is DLC.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
Yeah, something's wrong with Splatoon's digital numbers for Famitsu. Super Smash Bros. sold 31,000 units from eShop the first month, while Splatoon (which outsold SSB in two days) did only 20,000. It's true that download retail cards aren't included, but the difference still looks way too big. Also, I need to check back the estimates I made the last time, but I think they're wrong with Box Boy as well.

@prodigy: Nintendo uses Media Create for their financial releases / sold-through worldwide announcements, that's why we started using the 58,000 figure for Splatoon to be added to MC's retail total.

There are standalone DLCs, they just took a while to announce them. There's a free Awakening crossover map (Chrom, Frederick and Lissa appear there as npcs, but don't join your party - you get class change seals to change one unit from each gender into Marth's or Lucina's class), three "resources" maps like in Awakening (exp, money, weapons), two maps where you choose a preset party from one of the royals and retainers groups and have to beat the other ones (one for a beach picture, another for Dreadfighter and Dark Falcon class change seals) and 2 still unreleased story maps which are meant to expand the story of 3 characters from Awakening in Fates, add some more backstory for Fates itself and give 2 new items with unknown function at this point (might be class change items, or something else).

Their total sales figure matches what Nintendo gave, so if they got it "wrong" it was by shifting digital sales into physical (but you can't even prove this because cards).

Ehhh? And here i am enjoying PADZ a lot too. It free me from all that evil gacha system.^_^

And seeing MS3DS, it seems they are actually giving tons of cares for the game there as it looks good too.^_^

Isn't the game supposed to be a port of the web game but with a new UI? Surely it can't take that long...?

368k seems to line up almost exactly with the figure Nintendo gave for the 1 million announcement, doesn't it?

I meant as a gauge to tell how accurate Famitsu's digital estimates are on Nintendo games. It might not prove anything though, which is why I asked if they adjusted their projection according to the numbers Nintendo gave.

Only checked the first three pages, but to that point there was no Splatoon legs image posted? Shocking.

I mean that's pretty impressive right there. Both systems are just marginally outpacing the year before.

Shocking News: Kancolle Kai delayed to November 26th

There's supposed to be a second anime season, right? Are they waiting to tie-in to that? lol
No date announced for it.
Fall shows start in October, so there's still time, but it doesn't seem likely.

I think it would have been announced by now, wouldn't it?

Isn't the game supposed to be a port of the web game but with a new UI? Surely it can't take that long...?

supposedly it is more strategy than the web game

maybe its just hard to turn a f2p web game into an actual game!

So instead of coming out the same day as Dragon Quest VIII, Kancolle is now coming out around the same time of Monster Hunter X.

I know fanbases don't really overlap and they're coming out on different systems, but what's up with Kancolle being released at the same time a major game?
