One thing people keep forgetting is the fact that:
We've already seen what is probably part of the South African abandoned underground nuclear testing facility(with some sort of TX-55/Zeke hybrid, unidentifiable Metal Gear) in the E3 2014 Nuclear trailer.
At the end of Ground Zeroes
So I'm thinking the locations are going to be:
Cyprus
Middle(covering a bunch of different nations)+South Africa
Afghanistan
Perhaps more, perhaps just those. In either case, it's some pretty exciting stuff considering what occurs in the timeline and the fact that it's been confirmed that we do form Outer Heaven at some point in this game.

That book is honestly one of the funniest things I've ever read. Snake's desperate ambition to snap every single guard's neck while spouting one liners is stupid yet I was entertained. And the weird out of place references to MGS4 are so fucking dumb. I was somewhat disappointed that the second one wasn't terrible and just a standard novelisation.

Someone brought this to my attention recently. Most of you probably know that in MG2's original MSX release most character's portraits were based on famous people.
But appearently the soundtrack has done some ripping off as well, some of it's tracks seem strikingly similiar to Rambo 2's score.

Some of the conversations definitely relate to camp omega (the one to do with Paz and Carribean mercs), guard dogs were in the intro but disappear in gameplay. I wouldn't be surprised if TPP carries over some of this stuff that got cut from GZ though.

And it looked like the AI was a bit smarter since they would notice if someone was missing. I'm thinking they might have cut that so it wouldn't be frustrating to players.

We saw mortars in the Afghanistan gameplay demo, Snake walked by and he could have used them.

I think it's especially noticable with the first Rambo 2 song I linked, the similiarities start about 10 seconds in, the overall melody resembles MG2's Level 1 Warning, while the background drums are pretty much MG2's Chasing The Green Beret.
