nah, MGSV is the best story they've had since MGS3. the writing might not be as entertaining and cartoony as earlier entries but i ilke the more serious tone, especially how Kojima brought in the horror film influence. MGSV also has the most in-depth world building in the series which i find more interesting and immersive than the old anime soap opera tropes the codecs used to stop you every few minutes for.
