Aw, Billy crashed the post game desk over on mlbn. Hes so awkward but sincere. He seems to be buddies with Millar.
are you talking about future Mariner Billy Butler?

Nope. Don't wanna think about it. Its not the offseason yet. He's still a Royal now.Yeah... It's gonna be tough seeing him go potentially. He really has been one of the faces of the club.
Ventura's hat is on its way to Cooperstown.

Giant fans can thank Adam Wainwright for serving up gift to Jeter for not having home field in game 7.
I would think the true responsibility lies with Bud Selig for giving us the dumbest rule in all of sports.
Making an exhibition game "count" by making its result affect HFA for two unrelated teams is far worse than letting second place teams into the playoffs. Especially since there's no evidence that it improves the ASG in any way.But without Wildcards both teams wouldn't be in the World Series.

I know Bochy has said Hudson is starting tomorrow, but honestly I would start Bumgarner, or at the very least pull Hudson for him at the first sign of trouble. Hudson is wildly inconsistent and could very well Kevin Brown this game 7.

Anyone giving the Giants a chance tonight? History and home field seem to suggest the Giants now having much of a chance.
My Indians almost pulled off the road upset in 97 and was just two outs away from winning it all![]()
i think game 7 deserves a new thread, we don't get them too often.
I've always wanted to try this.THIS is what everyone is eating on their hot dogs for the following year!

maybe it's because i'm a royals fan but i can't see anyone, even giants fans, being very optimistic about tonight. like when the cards and david freese did all that nonsense a few years ago, no one gave the rangers a chance in game 7 except opiate i think. the only advantage the giants have is experience, and i don't think that will overcome the royals timely hitting, speed (which has been mostly a nonfactor), satisfactory pitching (Mormon on the mound tonight, hell yeah), and awesome nicknames.
speaking of which, did a royals fan make the OP? because only the royals have those cool nicknames haha. i guess the giants are boring.
One of my coworkers is convinced that several games in the series have been "thrown" just so both teams can make more money. Apparently I am the foolish one for being so innocent to believe both teams want to win more than they want money from extra games. "It's all about the corporations, man."

Fixed.
I agree Game 6 was their chance and they really screwed that up. Their only chance is their starter keeping things close, then having all their others starters available in their pen.
I remember screaming at the TV for the Indians to put in Charlie Nagy to close out the Marlins in the 9th instead of Jose Mesa, and we all know what happened.
Fixed.
Of course :lolAnyone giving the Giants a chance tonight? History and home field seem to suggest the Giants now having much of a chance.
what scares me is that it is the royals. i'm so used to kansas city teams disappointing me that I'm afraid it will happen tonight. it may be a different royals team than we have seen in a long while, but it's still the royals.
The last few games have been blowouts, it's really a toss up who win will tonight. And the Giants closed out their last two titles on the road, so while they'd obviously rather be in SF, they're more than capable of winning tonight.
