Most Anticipated Game of 2011: Winner Revealed!

October and November is crazy this year. It is a tough draw between Batman, Uncharted, and Skyrim but if I'm going to have to choose one I'm going with Uncharted 3.

Lock me down for Drake's Deception!

Is DOTA 2 a 2011 release? I figure with Valve time we are lucky to see it by Summer 2012.

I'm not seeing alot of Dark Souls votes. WHY?

Obviously a fake competition. OP should commit seppuku for his lies. SLANDER AND LIES.

It's in fourth with 59 votes! That's pretty damn good. Haha

More than I expected to be honest.

Uncharted 3

Always been a fan of the Uncharted series since the first one. I just love the characthers, story, voice acting, and pretty much everything else involved. The second one left me wanting more, and I can't wait to see what Nathan Drake and company do next.

Looks like I'll call it at post numero #1000 since the thread is dying down a bit.

So let's see it folks! Who will win Uncharted 3 or Zelda Skyward Sword?

Batman and BC3 are the two I can't wait to have. Skyrim, Saints Row 3, MW 3, Gears 3, RE 4, SF 3rd strike and AA: Brotherhood I will get anyway but Im not going too crazy for them like the first two I mentioned.

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

Not only is it a new Zelda game, its the 1st game by Nintendo to (hopefully) use Motion+ throughout(I know Wii Sports Resort, but thats more a collection of minigames) & it seems to be a origin tale for Hyrule. I don't think I could be any more EXCITE!!!

Tough choice this year especially between Uncharted 3, Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Catherine and Battlefield 3.

I'll have to go with Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception though.

Put me down for Uncharted 3. My favorite developer making a sequel to one of my favorite games. I am most looking forward to the story mode, but I loved Uncharted 2 multi and the beta for 3 was a blast, so I am excited for the multiplayer as well. Easily my most anticipated game. Good call on this thread. It's going to be interesting to see who wins it.

I'm not buying either game (at least not anytime soon), but this very close battle between the two is pretty entertaining.

As for when to end it, I say keep the poll going until the thread is dead. Like having gone 24 hours without a new post.

Zelda: Skyward Sword.

Personally, it looks like it has more potential than any Zelda game before it. I think it will outdo past Zeldas in meaningful ways and I can't wait to play it. :]

I was ready to say Red Orchestra 2 without question a week or so ago, but after playing through Brotherhood (WOW) and starting OoT for the first time on the 3DS I don't know what to think any more.

It is a toss up between Red Orchestra 2, Assassin's Creed Revelations and Skyward Sword but I think I will have to go with Revelations.

SAINT'S ROW: THE THIRD
All you guys don't know what fun is anymore.
I heard the game comes with an auto tune microphone for the collectors edition.

Pretty fucking hilarious.

Batman: Arkham City. I usually only buy one full priced game or so per year and this is probably going to be it.

The first game was so friggin good, this is jumping to the head of the backlog.

Nah, it's just a different kind of fun that's my top priority. I do want that game though, that's some of the most compelling pre-order DLC I've ever seen.

Shhhhucks. It's a toss up between Deus Ex and Skyrim. But between the two I think I've spent more time thinking about Deus Ex, so I'll have to give it to the Human Revomolution.

Really looking forward to being crushingly disappointed by both titles short comings.

3 people, heh. That really highlights how distanced GAF culture is from mainstream gaming
There's probably a lot more people who intend to get it than voted for it as most anticipated, but I still imagine the number of people who grab it will be dwarfed by those that get Zelda or Uncharted. At the very least I don't intend to get MW3, I only bought the first one and that was for $40 and due to the buzz it got (and the fact I was relieved they abandoned the then-tired WW2 setting.)

Zelda for me. I've been on a Zelda kick for a while, so I'm pretty hyped for a new one. Let's see what M+ can do.

Rhythm Heaven gets my second place though. Do do do filler up clank clank clank.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception : Loved 1 and 2 and the beta of 3, can't wait!!

Dark Souls - Already preordered, Demon's Souls was insane!

Assassin’s Creed: Revelations - I love this IP, don't care how much they milk it.

Resistance 3 - 1 was ok, 2 was badass. 2 had a crazy ending and i fell in love with the coop multiplayer for month!

Catherine - Played the demo and damn i already love it! And it's made by Atlus.

FFXIII-2 - FFXIII was ok(got platinum). I heard XIII-2 will have alot of improvements over XIII, so yeah sold.

MGS HD Collection - It's missing mgs 1, but i will get it anyway, because of mgs 3 and PW.

Final Fantasy Type 0 - Looks good, hope we see a release in the west.

RE4 HD - Would love to play it in HD "again"

ICO & SOTC Collection - Two legendary ps2 games i haven't played yet.

Deus Ex HR - Not a big Deus Ex fan(never managed to finish any game in the series) but this one looks awesome!

Edit:
meh i have to pick "ONE" right? This is hard man...
I guess it's Catherine as it's something new and fresh.

Uncharted is the only one I'm really looking toward.

With many of those others, I still haven't got the chance to play the earlier games.

Love Rorona, and Totori's supposed to be a pretty substantial improvement. It certainly looks like one.

It's really tough having to choose between this and Twisted Metal, but i'm going with Totori :)

Skyrim.

I love these huge world RPG's. Oblivion was great in it's day, and I'm expecting Skyrim to be even better. It's also conveniently being released right around when I was planning on building my new beast, so I'm really looking forward to seeing it on max (or close enough) settings.

Zelda would probably be up there if I owned a Wii, and though I once debated buying one just for Twilight Princess, I no longer feel any desire to. If Skyward Sword is good enough maybe I'll pick one up using Mastercard points or something.

Yikes, it's going to have to be Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.

But there are plenty of runners-up:

Batman: Arkham City
Zelda: Skyward Sword
Elder Scrolls: Skyrim
