Nice thing about EVE is that there's rarely any grinding. If it's skills you're worried about, all you need to do is wait. It gives you plenty of time to play other games.Flunkie said:I really, really want to get into this, but my backlog and life in general won't allow it.
This is a world I want to be apart of, especially with DUST coming.
I'm on almost every day for atleast an hour or two, and ever since I've got this corp together i haven't played without seeing one of them on. We aren't goonswarm or anything, but we are probably the most active MMO group on GAF right now.nemesun said:Are you guys even that active? I haven't touched Eve for over two years and don't have the urge to get back to mining day and night while gazing at the Fenrir parked in the station.
I'm really tempted to resub now.remnant said:I'm on almost every day for atleast an hour or two, and ever since I've got this corp together i haven't played without seeing one of them on. We aren't goonswarm or anything, but we are probably the most active MMO group on GAF right now.
Back in the day, Ice harvesting was decently profitable for the beginner.JWong said:Almost out of the tutorial... not sure what to do after it.
I don't feel like running missions, but that's the quickest way for cash, right?
I'm trying to figure out how to make quick cash with mining, but not sure what's the best method of selling. Selling ores? Refine then sell? Damn too many options.
PVP in low spec space and salvaging the wrecks is probably the quickest way to make cash. However to do that would require time and a lot of skills.JWong said:Almost out of the tutorial... not sure what to do after it.

I believe you will end up being a highly sought one with your competitive skills.BobTheFork said:I don't think I can go back to EVE honestly, but the Dust trailer really got me amped for the possibilities in the connected universe. I want to get hired as a GAF merc once it's all set up

This is what got me into Incarna.Man said:I almost feel dirty for jumping in straight before the Incarna update and getting it all on a silver platter.

I'm pretty sure the material in that video is for their World of Darkness MMO. Of course, I expect the same kind of stuff in Incarna.JWong said:
The Destoryer is fun, you can put like 8 guns on itKenak said:I just got a Destroyer.
Doing the tutorial missions really puts you on the right track. I've received over eight ships from doing the tutorial missions; all of the normal Amarr frigates as well as a destroyer, and many of the core skill books to boot.
And the mission where it gives you the destroyer is like, "This mission is so hard, you're gonna have to pull out all the tactics in the book. Prepare for death!"Drkirby said:The Destoryer is fun, you can put like 8 guns on it![]()
What makes it more suited? I tend to not use the thing to often since it is slow and I have it in the station you got it (Should drag it out)You ought to fit your destroyers out as sniping boats or salvagers. I have a Catalyst fitted as a salvager. Poor man's Noctis! Hell yeah!
JWong said:Does the epic arc mission have any salavaging or jamming or anything like that?
Can I just load out weapons?
I thought salvager only works on specific derelict ships or wrecks. That's what the tutorial taught me anyways.Mr_Appleby said:well a salvager seems kind of handy to get extra stuff out of missions. or maybe i'm just a compulsive scavanger

Anyway to make it salvage faster? I guessing there isn't any Salvaging drones.BattleMonkey said:You should always have a salvager equipped on your ship. It greatly increases the amount of money you make on missions.

I was just gonna do all the Eve U missions in order to sort of break myself in, but do you mean something else? Like Help > Tutorials > Tutorial Missions or something?Kenak said:I just got a Destroyer.

Meh, I did it in my Punisher.JWong said:And the mission where it gives you the destroyer is like, "This mission is so hard, you're gonna have to pull out all the tactics in the book. Prepare for death!"
8 rail guns makes it easy.
Yeah, I did all of the tutorial mission save the last one which is like business or something?Flunkie said:I was just gonna do all the Eve U missions in order to sort of break myself in, but do you mean something else? Like Help > Tutorials > Tutorial Missions or something?
