NeoGAF AUGUST 2017 Pick-Up Post! Show Us Your Gaming Goods + MORE (REAL PICS ONLY)!

To add to the games from earlier I managed to snag the following (the headphones are Koss UR20-s):

ku40fVJl.jpg

I already have Persona 5, but came across a really really good deal for it so figured I'd just continue on PS4, even though I don't really need to now that the PS3 is in the bedroom and using the monitor as its screen, Just transferred the save over and thankfully it didn't require PS+ to do so. As far as the headphones, those are for the PS3, since I prefer headphones and my monitor doesn't have speakers. Not pictured is a volume control switch that will alleviate the lack of a volume control on the system itself. Haven't used them too much but from the little I have, they're really comfortable, so I'm looking forward to being able to use the PS3 a lot more than I could previously.

That said,

I got a nice new job and a huge raise last month, so with the New 2DSxl coming out it felt like a great time to splurge and fill in some gaps in my handheld RPG collection. Rummaging around local used shops yielded some awesome finds :D

What a sweet haul! Hope you enjoy the games :D. Great choices there.

What amp is that?

Awesome, I've got the 300's as rears in my living room and they sound great.

Q300's as rears! what do you have as your mains?

I find even my Q100's to be a bit too 'boomy' in the bass department but that might be due to them sitting on my desk, tempted to give this a go to try and stop them from resonating into the desk, hoping it might tighten the bass up a little,

What case is this? Looks like you took your time to do cable management and I don't see any hard drives? I imagine they are mounted on the back of the mobo plate right?

Won this at an auction and was surprised the package came up to 4kgs. Picked it up today at the postie and found out she included a tee, a hoodie and wallet plus some posters. Pretty stoked.

Both of these looks great.

Picked these up over the weekend. The Shuffle was the last Space Grey in stock at the Apple Store while the Girl Inkling was the last one at my Best Buy.

Finally built a new computer after 7 years. While I had upgraded a few things over the years, it was time to just build new, as I was still running an I-5 750 CPU.

Anyway, I upgraded to a I-7 7700k, 1060gtx graphics card, 32GB of memory, and I decided to get a solid state drive for my operating system stuff. I also removed stuff from my case like extra usb and serial slots I never use anymore, as well as only having one disk drive on the front.

Its nice being able to play newer games at 1080p, lol.

box of stuff.

NICE Chris! I love the sleeper look :)

SSD is a 250gb samsung evo
I forget exactly what ram, but I think it was the g.skill ddr4 2400 something.

NICE Chris! I love the sleeper look :)

Its the same case I've been using since like 2004. Its a good case so I haven't seen the need to get a new one. Same with my speaker system which came with our gateway PC we bought in 1998.

And for pickups. I forgot to post this. Bought some music, manga, and games

Cool!
It is messing with my mind, though.

Did you like.. buy parts from... what's it called, Warmoth or something (I think they sell parts. er, they used to at least)? That pickguard looks like it has a sticker on it, is that a real fender body?

Reminds me of a shitty Squire I bought back in... 2004 I think? I sanded it and spraypainted it neon pink (it looked so rad!), then replaced the body, pickups, pickguard and neck with stuff I found on Ebay. The only thing that's still on it that's actually Squire is the neck back-plate and the electronics (the electronics are fucked, I need to replace them).
I put high output pickups on it that are so sensitive you can yell into the pickups and your voice will come out the amp. I used to think that was cool, but it's not like I ever tried it with any other guitar, so maybe it's not special.

Man, I wish I was young again (I suffer from hemiparesis now, so my guitars are simply just wall-ornaments ).

Yeah, the neck is custom warmoth, but the body is all fender. I bought basically a whole guitar but no neck, which is like 1/3 the cost buying a new one from fender. Since I planned on getting a custom neck anyway, thats why I went that route

Also, reverse headstock for life yo.

here's my post in the guitar thread.

Case is phanteks p400s .
The hard drive is behind the Mobo, in a separated compartment where you do the cable management. I have both SSD and HDD.

a good deal, very good phone and suprisingly so mucher batter than my old Z5

I recently got a Xperia XZ Premium and I'm really impressed with what Sony pack into these phones. First time on the Sony side for me.

So much better than the OnePlus 3T that died on me after 2 months. That taught me a lesson about buying cheap phones.

Finally decided to import an American SNES. Now it's time for me to replace most of my SNES collection with NTSC copies. Man these games play so much better than their PAL counter parts. Best purchase this month. Also got copies of Super Metroid (which I've never owned on the SNES), Super Mario World, Run Sabre (replaced my PAL copy) and Donkey Kong Country 2. Hopefully I can expand the list soon as I'm currently selling off most of my PAL SNES games.

Got inspired by some of the pickups in this thread and hunted down reasonably priced copies of Etrian Odyssey IV and Soul Hackers. I also got Advance Wars Dual Strike at a good price.

HIwkmZq.jpg

Also picked up a bunch of cheap PSP games, with the exception of Final Fantasy Tactics, which was a bit more expensive. Can't believe Metal Gear Solid Peacewalker was € 3 new in store...

Unless you're really into RPGs wouldn't it have made more sense to grab a Super Famicom - especially when you consider the huge variety of titles that never left Japan. Carts are super cheap too.

This came in today.
Comes with manual, poster, and... looks like a trading card? (I like this side of the reversible cover more...)

I got it for PC too, but that one hasn't shipped yet for some reason. At least they emailed a steam code on the release date, so I've already got my nostalgia hour in. I'm not sure how much I'll play of this PS4 version, to be honest.

My brother bought me this glasses holder from the Salvador Dali museum for my bday:
