Shit, that looked pretty damn sexy to me. The dynamic lighting (or lack there of) needs to be worked on, but te Ferrari model is gorgeous. GT:HD is such a needless tease, I want GT5 so bad. I'll probably give in though.

The new shots and video pretty much confirm that the lighting appears to only be applied to the car itself, not the environment - so far.
Shows off the sexy car model more than anything, but there's no way they'll ship it with such flat environmental lighting.

It certainly pops off the screen in the 720p vid. Probably a clever combo of 3D and "baked-in" 2D tricks. The hands-on I read at TGS said it had a very impressive look of depth to it when they were playing.

if they dont do a better AI and physics model or whatever it is that makes you bounce off of walls, then its all pretty much pointless calling this game a racing sim. driving sim I can agree with.

PD knows how to impress thats for sure.

Polyphony has atleast 1 G25 wheel in their offices so they could be programming the next GT to support it. But if you were holding out on the DFP for its cost, then the G25 isn't going to be up your alley. It's double the amount of what the DFP cost when it came out (150 so the G25 wheel is 300).

Hope they sell some sort of frame or a solution to stabalize it (especially the new gearshift), the problem I had with the previous Logitech GT wheels was that I had nowhere to attach it too that was comfortably the height of the GT wheels. GT:HD is really going to hurt my bank account

The road has no lighting and is extremely flat. That'll be fixed.
