Some weird renders. I mean the Iris one makes her look straight up creepy.
Yes, it's just so great that they're continuing to pander to horny heterosexual male proclivities while turning off anyone with a sense of class (not to mention verisimilitude).Really glad they are sticking to Cidney's design.

It's clearly deliberate foreshadowing - along with the creepy smile and thousand-yard stare, she's even hiding something behind her back. Her being one of the final antagonists, outmaneuvering Ardyn and Ravus to take control of the Niflheim empire, would also provide an additional explanation for Gladiolus' anger - along with Noctis' obliviousness, he can't comprehend that his sister felt so little for him that she'd willingly cast all of Lucis aside and sanction countless senseless deaths for her own ambitions.
You guys REALLY like using gifs to emphasize your arguments about what Cindy wears huh? I'm sure it does wonders to convince the crowd who like her outfit to change sides.
A thesaurus has gained sentience. It is axiomatic how antediluvian the habitués of this neoteric Cidney are. These chauvinistic zeolots are a parlous obliquy (and, dare I say it, rather invidius). Alas, their pusillanimous, jejune manqué shall cease one day, hencewherest we, the keepers of progress, will overcome all eleemosynary.
So does Gladiolus though, Right? Oh... oh no. That's why he's half naked. Not to mention she has red eyes - clearly not a good sign.
Cindy's design is pretty bad, the clothes are one thing but the worst part is that she looks like a porn star (right down to the fake boobs) rather than some normal local girl that helps her dad fix cars. I'm not saying such a situation is impossible but it's clear that they went down a checklist when designing her.
It doesn't bother me much but I totally get where the critics are coming from.
kinda surprised Iris was important enough to get a CG render tbh
God damn man, you just won the big words award.
Oh please, "proclivities" and "verisimilitude" are common enough, and they were used correctly in that post. Anyone who reads more than a few books a year shouldn't raise an eyebrow at that sentence. It is axiomatic how antediluvian the habitués of this neoteric Cidney are. Can't wait to take that VR ride with her for the plot.
I can see why some people have issue with Cindy's outfit, but I'm not gonna lie, I kinda like it. It works within Final Fantasy's hyper stylized, super model fashion, cosplay type of world.
I completely agree, but just a few things (Just because specifics bug me);

Just look at that fake smile with those creepy dead eyes which are screaming "I'm gonna gut you and eat your organs while you are still alive and screaming in pain, as I continue to laugh like a craze woman, covered and dripping in blood, digging my hands ever deeper in your slashed stomach, clawing at your small intestine, ripping it off and chewing on it while blood gushes out, covers my teethes, overflows through my mouth and runs all the way down to my neck and body as I taste your ever fresh meat".How?
Sure, and yeah that's what I mean. I realize there's no specific look to a pornstar (obviously) it's just the whole package.
I'm not criticizing her personality or how capable she is, though.
This has to be the worst Cid design yet.

And don't forget our boy Dino

Maybe you should read a little more? Those are definitely common words, especially proclivities. I see verisimilitude written far more often than I hear it spoken, but proclivities is fairly common to hear in normal conversation.Never heard of either of those words
No, now it's impossible to believe she's a real mechanic. Obviously Cindy's original outfit was designed to say some very important things about her character. Namely that she takes her work so seriously that she can't be bothered to conform to conventional notions of modesty. She is an early riser who is loath to waste time dressing herself in elaborate outfits that fully cover her body. Cindy starts working at the crack of dawn!
Better?

Actually iirc she's refered to by other NPC's as "the professor" so we may very well get more quests from her.
Also we see her twice. Once outside the side-dungeon from the PAX footage and later in Duscae (or was it the province to its right?)
PSY・S;221837391 said:I've only seen her at a gas station in the Polygon video. She's labeled "The Professor's Protégé" edit: actually that may be the name of the quest
It's in Duscae I guess since you can see the shard in that scene.
They are fairly common as far as so-called big words go. Unlike Googly's hyperbolic parody, they weren't too flowery for the point Laiza was trying to make.Never heard of either of those words
Cindy according to some people then:
Anyways I hope that Iris isn't just in that one area where she and Noctis go out for a bit. I want her to be a little more involved.
Yeah, there's not an ab window in sight, while the girls look like they've dressed for a car show. She looks like a goth-pop school girl with anime hair. She's cute as a button[?] but real hair just doesn't look like that and it's sort of throwing me off her look.
Not to picking on Cidney, but it drives me nuts how little she or any girl is wearing and then just about any guy is dressed IN LAYERED FULL BODY TRENCH CAPE, ARM ARMOUR, STEEL BOOT, FANCY COLLAR AND BLADE.
I actually think that's the more annoying aspect of the "sexy clothes" aspect is that women are showing off, and male characters usually could not be packing on more clothes if they tried.
Cool. Thanks for the info!We know that Iris appears later (PAX footage, kinda spoilery if I talk about it).
She also has a HP bad, which is interesting
Unless they use an NPC with the same voice and same design for some reason, she definitely appears in the PAX footage.
She says:
"Curiosity might take you to the door, but no further"
when you talk to her.
I don't think she's overly important, but I would expect her to have more than a single quest.
