You know what's even worse that nobody mentioned yet? There's absolutely no confirmation the iOS port is coming out in the US. So they're even going to troll the people that DID want that most likely.
I remember the lead up to the game's announcement and a couple of following updates, but as for the release... I'm drawing a blank. What happened to this game and was it ever localized? In honor of this joining ULTROS's list, let's remember some other great Square Enix Japan countdown clocks from even longer ago.

This from?
I laugh, because the only other option would be to cry.
So yeah, the only good one now was last 2008.
At least Blood of Bahamut was a substantial game (with Mizuta music!!). I only played it briefly, but it didn't seem that bad. I'd like to play it more someday and see.I'm not sure I'd considered Blood of Bahamut as good either, but hey, differing tastes and all that.
Yeah, sorta. It had the Yoshida art that got gradually filled in.Wasn't 4 Heroes of Light a teaser/countdown site deal too? Beaten by a Jump leak, but still.
Somehow I'm not that disappointed. I'd certainly buy the game again. This gives them another chance to get the brand out there and hopefully not get shitty sales, thus leading to a sequel! Probably. I hope.
I think this ios release is going to be more of a remake than a port and it will have voice work thus tying in with the quote you linked. At the very least, Im still really looking forward to a new OST. If the tracks from KH3D are any indication, its going to be amazing.
And I honestly still think theres more TWEWY on the way. Maybe this countdown ... maybe not. But Nomura has teased announcements personally. I dont think hed do it for just an iOS port.
Imma gonna update the list of Square Enix teasers:

So yeah, the only good one now was last 2008. I dunno if you want to count Army Corps of Hell "good".
Brian Gray said that there is more to the countdown.

Sword Art Online
Thanks. Any good? Concept sounds okay (read the Wikipedia article on it).
Sold my DS copies a couple of months back, so I'm pretty happy about this. Looking forward to playing it on iPad.
It'll be a mobile phone or browser game or something.
You know, you could simply ignore the top screen. The auto mode did a pretty good job.I'm pretty pumped for this. I like digital versions. Sold off most of my DS collection earlier in the year, including this, but I never quite 100%ed it, and I'd gladly play it again anyway. Just hope the battles are better now there's only one screen to deal with. That top screen battle malarkey was just unnecessary imo.
At least it's not an iOS sequel...Why an iOS port ? Why not a game on 3DS ? Why SquareEnix, WHY ? °-(;_;°)
I can think of a few reasons. Far cheaper to port to iOS and many, many more potential customers. Why an iOS port ? Why not a game on 3DS ? Why SquareEnix, WHY ? °-(;_;°)
