What are these pictures supposed to proof?
Ouch, hope this doesn't mean the end of Bugbear
They were doing so well with the Flatout games, then Namco had them do all things wrong to Ridge Racer...
Was this project too ambitious?
What the fuck have they done
I must admit this crossed my mind. If that was indeed the case, I hope they can get the game back to where it was. The huge amount of debris flying around the place was a large part of the appeal to me..... what if they are jumping to the console train and they have redesigned the engine to reduce the cpu bottleneck the old one had....
The only logic explanation is that someone inside is sabotaging decisions. I hope being wrong, because I paid a good game that now is impossible to play.

Man I wish I was eligible to get a refund for this game. Nothing but disappointment since the day I bought it

Or.....they created a new renderer and are busy making updates to it etc. They essentially started from scratch again and it's going to take time to get up to par with the old one, we just never usually see the results this early.
I'm pretty confident in BugBears technical capabilities and how they'll iterate on it. Surely that's what you want to see in the early access period, the actual development of how the game comes together ? Bumps and all ?
It wouldn't be frustrating if their update from a week or two ago(the first in months) hadn't hyped it up as being a huge technological improvement without any of the inherent flaws or hinting at how early it was going to be.Or.....they created a new renderer and are busy making updates to it etc. They essentially started from scratch again and it's going to take time to get up to par with the old one, we just never usually see the results this early.

Just wish they would have been more honest about what was happening in the first place. Complete radio silence for months.
Downgrade to release it on consoles as well?
How the game have improved in 17 months
You know, from this early game
No max settings, more than 100 fps downsampled
to this (same location)
New update max settings (game has a lot of stuttering because these incredible textures don't fit in my 2GB gpu)
New update max settings + MSAA + alpha AA in vegetation (really, no joking)
Different time 9 day and lighting, different perception. They proof nothing. .
Different time 9 day and lighting, different perception. They proof nothing. And I wonder which monster machine you had to run the game downsampled at more than 100fps because with my 980 and my i5 at 4.3 GHz at max settings I could barely hit 60fps in most races with lots of other cars and grass and shit.

Wow, it looks so flat without the lighting.

No offense but this is what happens when you buy early access.
People shouldn't even be thinking of them as games to be honest.

Did they lose some developers over the year? I wonder WHAT they are doing.
I'm not too worried because the game is a long way off.
If that's what it takes, that's what it takes. I'd rather that than a rushed and buggy transition. So another 8 month delay to move to DX12 incoming then?

Old version
This is the same fucking game now
Please, tell me more about time of day and camera angles.
