I'm gonna mbe taking my daughter out for Halloween this year, she'll be 17 months. It's mostly to dress her up and have her walk around the neighborhood with the other small children and our neighbors.
I took my daughter out trick or treating for the first time around that age. She loved the costume but was scared as hell when we walked up to a house that had the elaborate decorations (skeletons flying out of caskets and that sort of thing). Same for anyone offering candy that was dressed up in an outfit. We had to end up going up for the candy while she hung back holding on my leg for dear life.

I doubt he'll actually be giving his son the candy.

Mine will be going too, but she gets to because of her older sister. She went last year too when she wasn't even a year for the same reason.

Costume is already decided....Ravens cheerleader

I've got a four year old and an 18 month old, my four year old didn't go trick or treating until last year, when she was three. That's the right age. My 18 month old wouldn't know what the hell was going on. It's not like your kid is 5 and you're picking football over them. An 18 month old won't get it, nor remember it.

You shouldn't give an 18 month old candy anyway.

Leave it to the Ravens fan to spoil a kid's fun!

My daughter isn't easily scared by inanimate objects, but I'm a bit apprehensive she'll be skittish around the faces she's never seen before.

She hung to me like a jacket when I brought her to work to meet the women in my office.

At least you aren't sending her out in a Ray Lewis costume...

No one's saying Philly is the only place where shit goes down at stadiums. I've seen stupid behavior and some fights at FedEx. But it is undeniable that Philly is one of the worst places for that type of behavior. The stereotype exists for a reason.

And if there's any excuses made that "well it hasn't really been bad in Philly for a while" it's because the Eagles have been fortunate enough to make the playoffs 75/80% of the time. When those 5-11, 4-12 seasons start coming in (and you can count on that happening in the next 5 years), then we'll see what Philly fans are really capable of, lol.

Again you say one of the worst but there is no way to measure? More people arrested? More drunkards? More fights? More booing? I don't deny that it doesn't happen but I am willing to bet it happens at the same rate that it does anywhere else.

Bionic...the booing I'll own up to. Philly fans boo their own team when they play like shit but I don't see the problem with booing. You pay to go see the team play and you can or boo as much you want.

Sometimes the booing can look/sound very bad from home, but whenever I have been there it has been warranted or hilarious.

I still think the Philly crowds at 80s/90s Eagles games had a lot of thugs at them (in the upper sections), but it has been so yuppifed since then that it isn't bad at all anymore. Not even in the upper sections. Nothing like what we all imagine an average Raiders crowd to be.

Any other Steelers fan hear this? Word is They never liked Starks for whatever reason hence no callbacks.

Also, Wexell has been telling anybody who'll listen that we've never been able to run on the colts no matter how shit their Run D was.
Any explanation for why they love Scott so damn much?

He has been decent at times in his career, but he was been horribad this year and Freeney emasculated him on Sunday night.

Will be interesting to see if Jerome or Dermonti get a nod in this time.
Dermonti should get in no questions asked but is Jerome really a HoF?

I think he was a really great RB, but to be honest neither him nor Curtis Martin seem like HoF material to me. Only the best of the best!

Jerome Bettis is the 5th leading rusher of all time. Martin is 4th.

LOL, Bob Sanders on IR. Good job AJ, we got 2 games out of him!

Oh and the Chargers signed Tommie Harris.
Chargers sign DL Tommie Harris (one-year contract) and place SS Bob Sanders on IR.

I dunno 8 1000 yd seasons 5th in rushing 15k yds from scrim nearly 100 tds . As a steelers fan i'd nod him in but i could see i guess a counter argument. also best of best isn't really true more of popularity contest.

If two of the 5 top leading rushers in NFL history don't get in, who does?

Regardless, Bettis will get in. Media loves him.

Appearing on PFT Live Wednesday, Manish Mehta of the NY Daily News suggested that the Jets are "becoming a passing team."

"The offensive line and Shonn Greene really haven't delivered in the first three games," Mehta noted. "... When the holes are there, Shonn Greene doesn't have that that explosion getting to the second level." The Jets are passing 62 percent of the time, compared to 38 percent running. "If he continues to struggle, I think you'll see LaDainian Tomlinson carry the ball a little bit more. ... They're not just gonna keep turning around and handing the ball off to Shonn Greene come Weeks 6, 7, 8, 9 if he's averaging what he's averaging (3.3 YPC)."
Shonn Green is so overrated it isn't funny. I said earlier this year by midseason LDT would be getting even or more carries, and I stand by that.

With what injury this time? How can a guy that brittle go through day to day life without incurring serious injuries?

Should have saved him for a playoff run. Or I guess 1 game just in case you made it to the Super Bowl.

I liked him coming out of the draft, I liked him as a developing rookie and I like him now. Plus, that's such an awesome name for a linebacker.

LOL, Bob Sanders on IR.
"Dat's consistisssy!" *Sanders claps as children run along doing football drills*

1. Yes.
2. Yes, but I'm willing to concede it may only be somewhere in the top 10.
3. See #2, except this time Top 5.

Steve Slaton to Miami.

I did it first.

And it makes perfect sense you fools. For the exact same reason I did it in madden. When Bush inevitably gets injured, the offense can still run like it never happened. What doesn't make sense about a backup being the same type of player as the fragile starter? Thomas is Bush's split-back. Slaton's on the bench waiting.

I just never saw Martin or Bettis as a Hall of Fame player. Same goes for Aikman and a lot of other guys in the hall, but maybe I am just too selective in who I think should be there.

Not that it matters and as you guys point out it is more or less a popularity contest for many of the guys who get in.
