Is it? Sounds like bad coaching to me.

I agree with this. Five touches for Peterson in the second half is insane. They were up by three TDs! It should have been all AP in the third and not McRibb throwing on first and second down. Like I said, it was just crazy to watch happen.

I wonder if Ramses Barden is healthy now.
On PUP until week 6. He was on the field today taking some passes from Sage Rosenfels. He seems to be pretty close to return. Adam Koets should be back as well.

Yeah, we're getting close to that so I was curious. Koets coming back is nice as well. With reactivating those two, I reckon the cuts will be either Clayton (or Stokley to IR) and possibly a DB, like Derrick Martin. The second pick is going to be a tricky one.

I'm very curious and terrified on how exactly the Jets plan to keep Sanchez alive against the Ravens pass rush/blitz. I hope they don't rush Mangold back.

Play fakes, roll outs, get Sanchez on the move. And definitely feature Holmes and Plax, two guys the Ravens really hate.

It's not Like AP was running wild in fist half. He had one 40 yard gain, take that out he was avg 2.2 . Same in 2nd half.

it's funny how people complain them to be too conservative in first two game, now they are complaining the other way.

Running the ball would have made no difference , they had to score points. time was not as issue

Anyone have their work desk/office/cube decked out in their team stuff?

Yea my office has a pennant, a couple of pictures and a poster. For my birthday in August my department got me a Redskins cake too, lol.

While the Ravens have a solid D, they aren't really a sack machine. I think they only had 27 sacks last season? Suggs is a beast, no doubt, but after him there's not a huge pass rush. Has Kindle shown he's recovered from his skull fracture?

That was last year, and they are clearly better. Without Mangold, Haloti Ngata is going to wreck house in the interior line, and that will help everybody. Suggs is already talking about things this week, but I don't know how to do the twitter quote thing, so:

Suggs on Jets rivalry "it's not as friendly as you think, it's more personal"

Suggs on Derrick Mason "he don't wear our colors anymore, he's the enemy"

Rex Ryan on Torrey Smith "I don't think he'll have equal success this week. If he does, then I'll just stay in Baltimore", "If we want to shut him down, we can always just put Revis on him"

Cowherd just made an interesting point ...

The top 10 quarterbacks with the highest ratings last week went 10-0.

The top 10 running backs with the most yardage last week went 4-6.

The league has truly changed.

It's sad when Cowherd gets it and people working for NFL teams and regular fans don't.

Titans should just do themselves a favor and move Chris Johnson to WR now.

Victor Cruz credits WR Michael Clayton on his 2nd TD catch, says he was told to "read CBs and adjust his route accordingly." #nyg

He actually brings up great points about the time investment required to be the ardent fan and the lack of meaningful games in most sports. Color me shocked.
The one attribute the NFL will always have over other sports.
It's always been hard to care about the 50th game in the NBA or NHL season, and I flat out skip months at a time in baseball.

Was it you that took out Stokely today? WAS IT?! I know you want to get Clayon on the field but you must stop this madness!
... I was nowhere near that practice field and I look forward to Michael Clayton being the new slot receiver.

Packers defense was actually good last year. Not sure if the steroids wore off or if they haven't taken effect yet this season. This lockout has made things confusing.

My guess is Jacksonville would gladly trade teams with Green Bay.
Teams? Of Course. But they might veto it if it meant having to live in Green Bay. Even though Jacksonville is a steaming turd of a city and Florida is a horrible state, I think we can all agree it beats living in Nebraska.

Yea what was it, yankeehater (or some other Iggles dope?) going on about with never seeing a bad thing happen at an Eagles game since 95 or some shit?
Oh, and "fucking racists" (Redskins fans?) lol

Its pretty well known that all fans at sporting events are assholes. Remember the shooting at a pre-season game? You could find an example at every stadium every sunday if you wanted to but hey since its Philly it must be more.

Has there ever been a way to measure this claim? Or are the fans just as lazy as the ESPN analysts who just refer to now infamous stories simply because they need to have an identity for each city without having to bother to do any work?

If I were an Eagles fan, the dream would have died as soon as they signed Just Winz to be Vick's backup
and by backup I mean replacement for when he inevitably breaks bruises his leg.

What? They had no other QB behind Vick they had to sign someone. That signing has nothing to do with anything going on now. The "dream team" concept is just something VY said once and apparently was told to shut up about by Reid himself.

The actual dream ended the minute they decided to make the offensive line coach their new D coordinator coming off a season where they were terrible on D.

While their wins over the Pats & Raiders were nice. They will not be coming back down 20 points in the 2nd quarter of every game for a win.
Hope Bills fans enjoy the 3 win streak, gives them something to tell their grandchildren down the line.

Options:
1. Take 18-month-old son on his first trick-or-treating adventure
2. Bloody fantastic seats at the Chiefs/Chargers MNF game

I'm leaning toward #1.

Since I haven't had the chance to follow football for the last 3 days: What was it like watching all those botched snaps by the Cowboys live?

I've got a four year old and an 18 month old, my four year old didn't go trick or treating until last year, when she was three. That's the right age. My 18 month old wouldn't know what the hell was going on. It's not like your kid is 5 and you're picking football over them. An 18 month old won't get it, nor remember it.

You shouldn't give an 18 month old candy anyway.

It's unlikely that his brain is developed enough to retain the memories of trick or treating. You will remember it - and probably value it more because of the perceived sacrifice you made (eschewing 2).

But in terms of him actually remembering it and someday while you guys are sitting around at a pool hall while he's visiting from college, working your way to the bottom of a pitcher of beer and listenign to him say, "Damn Dad, that was awesome when you took me trick or treating when I was a year and a half" - ain't gonna happen.

No one's saying Philly is the only place where shit goes down at stadiums. I've seen stupid behavior and some fights at FedEx. But it is undeniable that Philly is one of the worst places for that type of behavior. The stereotype exists for a reason.

And if there's any excuses made that "well it hasn't really been bad in Philly for a while" it's because the Eagles have been fortunate enough to make the playoffs 75/80% of the time. When those 5-11, 4-12 seasons start coming in (and you can count on that happening in the next 5 years), then we'll see what Philly fans are really capable of, lol.

even as a fan, it eventually made me laugh, like in Casino Royale where James Bonds ends up laughing after like the fourth shot to his crotch...

I doubt he'll actually be giving his son the candy.

I'm gonna be taking my daughter out for Halloween this year, she'll be 17 months. It's mostly to dress her up and have her walk around the neighborhood with the other small children and our neighbors.

Right, right. I know this. It's more about the photo-op. I think I might be able to do both, anyway.

On topic: Chiefs could be 2-3 in two weeks!

I have been to a lot of sporting events at many different cities and I can't say that the Eagles have a monopoly on assholes, but you can't dispute that they boo more than any other fanbase.

Often when you are there the booing is for entertainment (and not seriously malicious), but it is what it is. That said, when something great happens it is pretty awesome being in Philly (been to a few good Sixers playoff games and I have heard similar things about the Eagles and the other teams).

One last thing, the fanbase in Philly has gotten A LOT more "suburban" in the last decade. There used to be a lot more sketchy people at sporting events but they have been priced out.

Teams have registered more points (2,157), net passing yards (23,560) and passing TDs (153) in first 3 weeks of any season in NFL history.

More whining by dream team QBs than any other season in NFL history too.
