NO! NO! NO!

????????????!?!

Speaking of NHL 13, why would someone do this: http://i.imgur.com/VzXBV.jpg

Morgan Reiley looks like Bubbles.

Dad's happy that son will be home all summer every year.

Something vaguely resembling hockey:

Predictions on 15-11 positions for each conference:

5-7 Canadian teams down there. Funny though they had the Panthers at #14 last year.

THN is one notch above the Bleacher Report but they got you at 10th this year :lol

Vanderbeek is $18M short of what he owes to his lenders by today's deadline, but they're giving him until the CBA issue is settled. I guess they realize that they'd get more money back by giving him more time than declaring bankruptcy.

While I do wish we got a new owner instead, Vanderbeek is a true Devils fan. I'll give him that.

Heh, so if their last year prediction is used as a measuring stick then we'll win the cup!

Honestly if we can stay somewhat healthy this year I think we'll do fine. If Mueller stays healthy and Huberdeau is as good as we hope offense will be far less of a problem. As far as D this is time for Kulikov to shine he missed a lot of time with injury last year but when he is on he is a beast. Gudbranson should be paired with Campbell and will hopefully reign in his cannon's accuracy. If a Lou deal does not work out then I see Markstrom getting a good chunk of call-up time.

Sure, and Parise didn't have that much influence on the Devils success last season.

You serious? The only thing I can recall about Delware that isn't depressing redneck yuppie communities is this:

We have beaches, forests, farms, mountains, cities, casinos all in 45 minute drives from one another. And an amazing hockey team.

Back when the last lockout was official, I wasn't into hockey and I didn't really follow hockey news at all, and neither did my best friend. We were browsing through the dollar bins at our local comic book store and the owner, sitting at his computer suddenly piped up, "Hey guys -- it's official. The lockout. It's official."

We both looked at each other and had no idea what he was talking about, and for some reason at exactly the same time decided to react in exactly the same way:

"...Ohhhhh!...Great...! That's awesome!"

He never said anything about it, but when I realized a few hours later I figured he must have thought that we really hated hockey.

Huh. Yes we were. I was wondering why you seemed so familiar.

That series sure went to shit.

I think sefskillz was in that tourney, too, but I might be confusing him with someone else.

try the pes 2013 demo, not all hope is lost!

now get pk signed long term and we are set

I love Bettman's reaction. Basically, "Damn you guys actually THOUGHT about your proposals? We just wrote like we were writing a list for Santa. Guess we have to actually work now..."

What a fucking asshole. He's just gonna take a hardline stance in response because he doesn't give a shit. Fuck league management.

Yeah he had the "SEE THE PLAYERS DON'T WANT A SEASON" response all ready but the NHLPA had a measured and negotiable offer so he (they) has to give it some actual thought.

This gives some hope though. I'm thinking the cap and contract length become the major sticking points.

His employees are more or less trying to tell him how to run his business.

Because he's made it abundantly clear he can't
::lookstophoenix::
and it's costing the employees and not him. Bettman is a pawn of the big team owners. They're making money, and then taking the poor owners' arguments for why they should be making MORE money out of the players' pockets. In the end no one wins.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
Here's actually what is happening, though:

players get $1.89B for 3 yrs; owners keep bulk of rev growth from that period. Revenue sharing up; hard cap stays

PA actually offered something to work with. Evil greedy players. Just trying to work our sympathies!

That actually is a great deal.

With Fehr at the helm, I'm really shocked and will admit I was wrong.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the NHLPA. This new proposal took the NHL by surprise and I'm feeling pretty confident that there will be a season. I hope the NHL doesn't get greedy and try to strong arm the NHLPA.

But all in all, this looks promising. (from what little I read)

Fuck you guys. I'm slowly getting accustomed to the fact that there won't be an NHL season and now you go and raise my expectations? After I've carefully and deliberately spent the last few weeks lowering them as much as possible? Assholes.

NO. I've resigned myself to the idea of the Wings missing the playoffs. The sooner that happens and we get it out of the way, the better.
