The thing about Philly, as good as their offense can be...if you get 25 or so shots against them you're basically guaranteed 3 or 4 goals thanks to bad d and bad goaltending. Wings will win 6-4

I'm here because this is a better forum than the recently deceased TBN is. This forum is actually active haha.

I need DET to win by 2 goals or more (have a bet in). Do it boys.
That is true, seems like everyone at TBN has moved on with their lives. We all finally grew up, haha.

Hahahaha, that was fucking crazy. Can't believe Malkin didn't get the hatty.

Good game though. Glad to see that we can rely on Johnson now.

LOL Milbury commenting on a Malkin highlight: 'Nobody's dominated the league like this, at least as far as I can remember, for this long of a stretch.'

Uh, ever hear of two guys named Gretzky and Lemieux?

So basically Milbury is admitting that he's a senile idiot. Watch out Don Cherry, he's gunning for you!

Detroit gets more catch-up goals than playoff teams in NHL 12.

Every time someone takes the lead, they get a PP 30 seconds later.

Seeing the Blues trounce the Sharks again fills my soul with pure joy.

The 6th shutout for Jaro, tied now with Lundqvist.

The two 5 on 3's must be karma for Thornton taking out Perron for more than a year haha.

God, another shut out for the Blues??? How do they not allow goals???

I've watched quite a few Blues games this year, and they do a really good job of closing the slot down, keeping their opponent in the corners and to shots from the point. They block a ton of shots, too. Just a really good, hard-working team.

EDIT: Conference finals for the Blues this year. You heard it here first.

So two goalies pushing each other, a fantastic coach in Hitchcock, putting heart and soul into their game, great two-way play and I reckon Backes must have some sweet locker room fuel going on as well.

Blues fans have a lot to be happy about this season.

How did Andy Macdonald look tonight? 1p isn't bad for a year(+?) length concussion debut.

Andy looked great, and had a lot of solid opportunities around the net. He did manage to mark an assist tonight. Super glad to see him back in Blues armor again.

Thanks Detroit, we're now 4th in the East (by the slimmest of margins).

Musings:

- We have a reliable back-up goalie again, Fleury can start getting some rest for the playoffs.

- Malkin, Neal, and Kunitz are terrorizing the entire league.

- Letang is a monster. He will win a Norris trophy one day.

- Staal is back, and our offense is so much better for it. He's playing great, creating lots of chances and teams are now having to shift resources to his line, which is freeing up Malkin's line. It's no surprise that our top line has exploded (19 combined points in the last two games) Staal has been back.

- O'Reilly was a great pick-up. I have no idea what our bottom six will look like once Crosby gets back.

- I love that Dustin Jeffrey is a factor again.

- Changing the D pairings seemed to work, good job Bylsma. If these new pairings end up being the fix we needed for our D, shit is going to get real.

He is usually like that though when he talks about us, I think he is still angry from Yzerman's double OT goal in 96. ;)

I love you guys, I can't fault you for it, you're used to being favored by the officials. Though I have to say, after having back to back games where we were the beneficiaries of ridiculous officiating, it feels good man. Real good.

Long live the Central!

I would not say that at all.

I would not say that at all.

Well, I won't make today the day I trust anything the NBC Sports Network commentators say, but they just had a 5 minute segment on Detroit's typically great skating veterans taking uncharacteristic spills after they go down a goal.

That guy with the Lego hair (Millbury?) was especially fired up.

I wouldn't make that any day to be honest.
