Image was apparently created on December 4 last year. Intriguing.

intriguing how

Love the design. It's much closer to Twilight Princess Link, which is fantastic news in my book. Looks like he still keeps the longer hair/ponytail too, which retains some uniquity. I always Link looked a bit off in the initial trailer. Something about the eyes. They seem to have refined the design here.

Dude, it's getting its big blowout in just over a month from now.

Anybody has access to that huge ass artwork? I want it.

Dunno about anyone else, but for me it's because first we had this:
MEZ32Ed.jpg

"2015"

Then we had this:
ioyhoTo.png

"2016"

Now we get our blow out, but the release is at EARLIEST March 2017? My heart can only take so much.

Is that really a book? Looks more like a slab of something that Link would have to stick somewhere, like a key.

The underside of the thing doesn't look like it belongs to a book with that bump in the middle.

That book thing is definitely similar to the Gamepad. I bet it's what we're going to use to fast travel all over the map.

Looks like tech to me, some electronic device.

It's probably a smartphone. Or at least the in-game stand-in for your real world smart device, which would be used to interface with some feature of the game.

Plot twist: Link is actually Aiden Pearce's assassin ancestor and he'll hack stuff with that tablet. Ubisoft is the real dev, Aonuma was just a decoy.

it looks like a lot of effort went into making a single arrow

Link probably busts his ass to recollect them as not to waste them

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the possible mechanics of the special glowing arrow. It looks too unique to be something you can just buy in a store or use on mob enemies willy nilly.

Would be cool (maybe?) if the master sword was reforged by the goddesses into arrows each with different powers. But then I still don't really get how it can be used in battle if it's "one shot, now go retrieve it".

Or maybe it is just a modified arrow and not super special at all.

Well it would be cool if it was infused with the time stuff from Lanayru in SS so it would create little time warp bubbles. But seeing as it just blew up in the trailer I doubt it.

Edit: Actually the bomb arrows look different, so now I think the hologram arrows are time altering arrows.

I'm not too psyched about the emphasis on the bow and arrow. Other then the pointer controls in TP the B&A have been a pretty dull weapon in the 3D games.

But that book interests me.

Now I would like Zelda and Sheikah (Sheik? Maybe? Please?) art, Nintendo. Thank you.

Link's book is cute. I'm guessing it's a magic tome or nothing much at all.

Are they suddenly going to go with that kind of realism?

Link has always been carrying tonnes of stuff with him on his adventures without putting it anywhere.

I don't think he means it's just a dungeon item. I mean, it's clearly going to be the chatty companion character that tells you how to solve all the puzzles, but it might be some sort of key as well. Similar to how Fi was a companion that lived in your sword in Skyward Sword.

Looks cool to me! The wait until next year is going to be a long one, but if it makes the game that much better, I'm willing to be patient. :)

Must feel so good to have such a positive outlook on things...

I'm an increasingly jaded Zelda fan, admittedly. It's been too long since the last proper console title.
