Love it. Sleek and simple.
I wish we got Japan's cool red box.
Just seeing broken image links here
I thought that was the My Nintendo Japan exclusive box, no? Wasn't the box even touted as one of the features when buying direct?I wish we got Japan's cool red box.
What does it look like?

The first system in the 9th generation of systems. Next gen begins in two weeks. I guess we refer to PS4/XBO as last gen now :/.
Really like this angle, will look great on a shelf.
My biggest take away is the listing of the Joy-Con straps. I had heard those were stupidly seperate.

Stop spoiling the box!

Isotope beat me to it

I can imagine that someone not in the know will think this is a new way to control a wii-u.
That's a sexy, clean design. There's probably some study that says American's like to see the product they are buying on the box that is trapping us in this ugly box hell.
best console/handheld ever to be released.
That main image they use in the US and Europe is a bad choice if you ask me. You can barely tell that it is a handheld/tablet like device. And the joycons in that state, easily the ugliest part of the hardware, is the main thing you see.
I can imagine that someone not in the know will think this is a new way to control a wii-u. (Unless they see the back of the box)
I like it.
But it's funny that that's the configuration they highlight for the front of the box: Switch docked, TV lurking in the background, most normal looking controller configuration.
This is funnier to me since the images aren't actually showing up (at least for me).
EDIT: Oh there they are. Yeah that works on two levels then
Can't quite put my finger on it as to why, but I really like this.

Japandia always gets the better packaging - for decades now - the one breakthrough we had was the PS2 box - after that, everyone went back to shitsville.
I think a lot of their messaging so far has kinda indicated that they want this thing to start this thing off positioned as a home console. Mainly I'm thinking about all the times they've reaffirmed that 3DS isn't getting replaced yet. Maybe that's why the box in Japan is different though, might be more focused on handheld there or something.I like it.

Why is the Japenese box in English?
