tfw when you LW the ENTIRE boss for the first time you face it

these new L armours have Body requirements... so long as I forge other ones to my level I can avoid it.

Can someone explain me how do you do Tempest with the Katana? I thought you just keep hitting light attacks against enemies guard but never happens anymore, I got it happen few times in betas.

Probably gonna start this sometime today and I have a question: Final Fantasy XV's 900p + vaseline smear post-processing solution made my eyes bleed constantly. Should I still opt for 720p 60FPS or stick with crystal clear 1080p? Playing on amateur PS4

Well, why not just try both and see? As someone who was movie mode during the beta/alpha, I've switched to action and the framerate boost is really, really nice.

Think I will get a "Pro" though when they are available so I can have the best of both worlds.

Which one is Tempest? I dunno if I'm that far or...

Once you break the guard you have to immediately guard yourself.

Backwave Tempest works the same way.

Perfect block > Tempest

What am I doing wrong when it feels the bigger enemies and bosses are behaving like big ass damage sponges / meat shields?

Since Amazon won't have copies for months (my Prime discount ;_;)

For the first time in what feels like ages, I have to step into Gamestop to buy it.

Pray 4 me

Can someone tell me how some reviews didn't enjoy the bosses? Every single boss is a completely new experience, has its own design and moveset and needs to be tackled in different fashion. I agree they're a little spongy but surely, the boss fights in this game are amazing? Barely any humanoid bosses too.

i've completed all the souls borne games but cannot beat the first boss in the ship. What am i doing wrong?

My advice: try to stay close and in front of him for the first phase so he uses the single ball smash. Dodge away from the one he smashes and strike him on the head. Watch out for double ball spin which he will do intermittently and if you are behind him.

Second phase try to keep your distance and keep moving. Look for obvious openings like when he falls on the floor.

Depends.

If they are in Yokai realm, their Ki will never deplete. By doing so, you're able to stagger them. Then, you can combo for as long as you still have Ki or before they "rise up".

If you're not speccing for depleting their Ki, then you gotta try and get the correct magic going to deal damage according to their weaknesses.

They were average and didn't have people to play with maybe?

They also didn't have any tips.

It's like NG2. Some bosses are piss easy when you figure them out, but the average reviewer won't find those strats for most of them.

Can somebody explain what this Yokai realm is about? Is this the cloudy stuff wich appears around Yokai when you fight them?

Maybe because they can be quite challenging and they just want to rush through so they can finish their review. They don't appreciate the hold up.

I don't think the bosses are done all that well either tbh. I think it maybe comedown to their limited movesets, most might disagree but i think the humanoid bosses are the best of the bunch.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind! In which skill tree can I find these Ki depleting skills against foes?

I am attempting a level 1 run and so far I did every mission in region 1, toughest one was Muneshige.

It's actually not that hard to begin with, I just soul match the crimson armor and the Nioh weapons and I am good to go.

Typically, Hi-stance is it, although that takes a large chunk of your own.

In the skill tree you'll see skills such as Kick etc. it'll describe it to you if it does a lot of Ki damage.

Can anyone please tell me how armor classes and equip weight function in this game?

1. Do light, medium and heavy imply anything other than weight?
2. What do the threshold mean (70% I think it was, turned yellow)? Ki regen speed/use, i-frames or something else?
3. Is there a stat for stamina regeneration speed, and is there a number to it (eg can I see it on a stat screen somewhere)?

1. Not really, maybe defense.

2. Agility is graded A,B, and C which determines your evade speed, distance, and possibly Ki regen.

30% and under is A, over 30% but under 70% is B, and ofcourse over 70% is C.

3. I don't think so since the stance you are in influences how fast your Ki regenerates, but there are abilities that speed this up.

Loving this game so far, about 16 hrs in. Only have 2 complaints. The blacksmith menu revs up my PS4 pro fans every time I go there to tinker.
2nd, I hate the slow fps eniemies at a distance, reminds me of ds2. Otherwise, easily my goty contender.

1. Thanks, kind of figured. I tried to look for a skill or something like "your footsteps are silenced with light armor" that would give the class meaning.

2. Evade speed and distance. That's logical, nice. Anyone know if weight affects Ki regen?

3. Wow, stances affect Ki regen? Didn't know. So I should be switching to light stance while backing off from opponent then?!

what's the best technique for dealing with those flaming skeleton wheels

they seem ridiculous

They are pretty annoying.

I usually wait for the to stop and breathe fire and go around them instead of trying to stop them from moving or use anything water.

Luckily they also seem to have really low Ki.

I don't have a good feeling about this.

I defeated him on my second try. The greatest thing i found out is that when you use spear and do high stance, these axe guys don't get their super armor. no seriously, I knock them out of all their attack animations unless it's like really really late into them. I just mashed square square r1 (spear's high stance ki pulse is an attack if you get the skill) and he just kept getting helplessly pushed towards the edge till he fell over.

Either find a good place to snipe them from, or use a faster weapon and be sure to dodge as they try to roll at you. They seem a bit ridiculous at first but they can run out of steam pretty easy.

Stand somewhere so that when they do their big spin up attack they run into a wall. Then get in free hits after they've knocked themselves silly.

You can get silenced footsteps from one of the Ninjutsu skills.

I am still very underwhelmed by the lacking of enemy variety. I just got to the second area and still fighting mostly the same types of dudes. Give me some scarey new enemy types please!
