Do you need to finish a mission for Kodama's collected to save, or are you just free to leave once you've found the ones you want?

Umi bozu
fight is broken, I've died many times falling between him an the floor. The whole battle is annoying as hell.

Not really broken.
There are specific spots on at the ends of both sides of the dock where you can fall into the water. Don't dodge too far to the edge of either side of the dock and you wont fall into the water. Also don't push too far towards UB especially when it is about to jump and then you will never fall into the water. Also phase two is much easier if you play not locked on.

You can leave.

I always forget I have a living weapon lol. I've barely used it and I'm at the start of the third region. The few times I've used it was to finish off a boss, but even then I mostly don't think about using it.

What armour type best suits swords or spears? Requiring stats to be able to wear armour makes me think more about character builds than I think I probably should.

I'll never forget about LW now that you can pretty much make it last forever with the two Amrita talismans + Fuse-Ushi + some Amrita gear.

I don't think I'll use the trick too much though, feels too easy.

Yes it is, this when standing in the middle in front of him not the sides! i know there are holes at the sides.

Only attack after he attacks you. Don't be greedy. If you push in towards him when he is backing up or leaning to the other side then you are gonna fall in. If you attack him right after he attacks you and you dodge, which is while he is leaning towards you then you are never gonna fall in.

It took me a bunch of times last night to beat phase two. But after a few tries I can perfect phase one every time. It can't be broken if you can perfect it every time.

hino enma
was an amazing boss. every attack had a great tell and was dodge able. you couldn't get greedy but you could take very calculated risks. loved it, thought it was amazing.

The piddly damage you get for attacking his main body isn't worth the risk. Just hang back and slap the yellow bits on his hands.
outside of after he beams, do rush in and jam your katana right in there.

Question about no hit title: does the
poison damage from centepede count against it? If so this seems like the hardest no hit in the game.

You get more but it doesn't increase the carrying cap. Finding Kodamas does increase the cap.

Must. Find. All. Kodama.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that finding Kodamas only increased the amount of Elixirs you get when you die.
Isn't "Medicine Man" skill in the Ninja tree the only way to carry more elixirs? 3-skill tree, each skill increases the amount you can carry by 1.

I can carry 8 and don't have anything in the Ninja tree but Shuriken. I've found all Kodama in this region too.
25 Kodama, every five gives you one more elixir to carry. So 25/5 = 5 + 3 = 8 total elixirs to carry.

As you enter one of Nioh's regions, you'll start off with three elixirs. If you find more throughout the area, you can pick them up and carry them. However, if you stop and rest at a shrine, you'll be taken back down to three. In order to increase your elixir carry cap, you'll need to collect Kodama. These green souls can be found hidden across Nioh's world, and for each five you find, you'll be able to hold one more elixir after resting.
Keep in mind that this will reset per region, so if you collect 25 Kodama in the Kyushu region, you'll be able to hold five more elixirs. If you move to another region, you'll be back at three.

Alright WHAT THE FUCK at this bat lady boss fight.

Keep a mid distance. If you go too far, she will throw her paralytic wind at you, which you can dodge by dodging right or left just after she goes HYYUUH. When she rushes you, dodge left or right and wait for the combo string to end. Rush in, get 3 hits, and roll out (hopefully you have ki pulse dodge).

Spear may help because you have a little extra range.

When she takes to the sky, she will go HYYYUH before doing the paralytic wind. When she swoops down at you, wait until the last second and dodge left or right.

Use what the mission gives you, the Paralysis Charm will prevent you from getting frozen by one of her moves.
The Paralytic Needs or whatever they are called.

So far I've noticed the levels give you items that'll help you deal with the boss.

Also when she is in the air if you are quick you can shoot her down which stuns her.

The thing I don't like about kodama is that they always refresh from your storage before they use youramount from kodama bonus elixirs.

You can carry more than 8 elixers if you unlock the medicine man perk in the ninja skills.

I feel like she was much harder in the beta.

Guys guys guys:

KILLED HER NEXT TRY MOTHERFUCKERRRRRR

FUCK YOU BITCH AHAHA

Anyway yeah I used the full archer set the mission gave me which all had paralysis resist, plus a charm.

Then I just kept mid distance to bait her melee combos, then I got 1-2 hits in and dodged away.
When she flies up I spammed kunai at her which decimates her ki and she gets rekt.

Still never managed to reliably dodge her spin attack though. Dodging away I'd still get hit by the end of it, which is thankfully not a massive hit.

Anyone have any suggestions on where I should start putting stat points now?

I'm generally going swords (dual swords secondary I guess) and I want to use Magic.

So my stats thus far:

Body 6
Heart 20
Stamina 6
Strength 6
Skill 12
Dex 5
Magic 8
Spirit 11

So some questions:

1. Which stats should I continue pumping? Are there hard/soft caps?
2. When it says stuff needs mission completion to unlock, are those main missions?
3. When it comes to those ninja hair locks and stuff, should I just be using them immediately? If I ever re-spec, does all that stuff remain?
4. Are the items that are used to give you Amrita useful for anything else? Or can you just go ahead and use them whenever you need more points to level up?

Thanks in advance for any answers

That is for when you get more elixirs on a stage, instead of capping at 8 and going to storage you can get more if you find them on drops.

Alright WHAT THE FUCK at this bat lady boss fight.

I used the low stance to dodge her attacks (double dash!) and switched to middle to do some dmg (katana for me, 2 hits max.). She telegraphs her combos/paralyze shot pretty well (sound is key!), the needles also help should she hit you.
First 3 tries were very frustrating for me too, after that I kept learning. She is actually a very good boss fight, very hard at first but absolutely doable.
Good luck Samurai.

I'm not too far into the game. Lvl 25 atm, did 5-6 side missions and 3 main missions (6-8 hours, I think). Still no idea what glory is good for (What is it good for?) Also how do I respec (just in case?)

I think glory is for some kind of clan stuff and you can buy a book from the blacksmith that lets you respec

About Kodama/Elixir - what I meant is that if you want to be able to carry more Elixirs total on you, you'll have to invest in that Medicine Man skill.
To be honest, I've been using the Healer blessing and I'm swimming in Elixirs anyway, usually 8-9 through the whole level, because once you get 1-2 Healer guys, every other enemy will drop an Elixir. I think I have ~100 in my Storage too :p
