In other news, what's everyone's preferred weapon buff? While they all have neat side effects, I'm not sure anything can really beat the slow of lightning. It doesn't just slow their movement rate, it also affects their attack speed. In a game where enemies can one-round you if you dodged too early or too late (or they decide to just plow through your attacks, because fuck the player), I don't know what debuff could be more useful. Couple that with Sloth (I don't care anymore, some of the enmies in the game are bullshit that I'm tired of dealing with), and you basically have slow mo punching bags.

Even against enemies that have a supposed "weakness" to another element, I'm just not seeing the benefits of using it over lightning if it's not resistant to it. Water against those fire wheels is actually garbage compared to lightning, and they are weak against water apparently. Yet they barely take any more damage from water damage. Maybe weakness just means the debuff is applied faster, but lightning is pretty much always on anything if you use quick attacks anyway.

NG+ is pretty weird. On the whole, it's still pretty easy, outside of every Oni other than the wheels and knife reds literally one-shotting me. Iunno, I wish there was at least... 2.5x more standard enemy types.

EDIT: Also kinda confused as to why the NG+ (Mark of the Strong) stuff wasn't just the twilight missions.

I bought a Pro for this. Going from the 720p to the 1080p Action mode makes a world of difference. I honestly didn't expect it to look this much better.

Also, load times seem faster? Is that a thing for PS4 Pro? *shrugs*

Flame. I'm a Ninjitsu build, so it isn't hard to keep the flame DOT up for big fights. Just the few Fire Talismans from Onmyo, a bunch of bombs and fire shurikens.

I stay on his ass and time my dodges between his legs/side right when he's gonna attack. Punish after every miss but don't get greedy, rinse & repeat. You can also Ki stun him pretty easy once he does his body slam and hit him on the head/horns. Godspeed.

im using dual blades. what stance should i be in?

Indeed. Raikiri for life!

I also find Ki damage pretty useful at times.

So I did the mission to unlock my mystic art, but where do I go to activate it? See what it does? They literally don't explain it at all

You have to purchase it in Learn Skills.

There's two big yellow scrolls on the right side for each weapon.

Can't find all the lights for the blob thing grr

This was annoying me too, and I even redid that level with the side quests.
One is is being guarded by a patroling, whatever the large Yokai are called somewhat in the center of the level, one is pretty close to the start near a narrow plank path and the other is in a larger, secluded area to I guess the "west" if you consider the direction you mainly progress in that level to be north. IIRC there should be one of the eye-wall enemies prior to it near the area.

I just use pots for that. They are godlike in a pinch.

I haven't played it on the OG PS4, but man on the pro load times are insanely quick in this game.

Giant Centipede is a hilarious boss fight.

Also am I missing something with knocking out the last of a Yokai's Ki? It does a 'breaking' effect like I just did something cool and they stand still for a second before going about their usual business. But I can't do a grapple like I can do on humans or anything cool like that.

I use water on my katana and at the moment fire on Dual Swords, but I also use lighting from my guardian spirit (Paired Raiken) using the Moment Talisman which usually instantly applies it even on bosses.

This results in me being able to set up discord really easily since water also increases elemental buildup.

Can someone help me understand the rare crafting materials stuff?

I'm looking to craft one of the ninja armor sets and each piece requires Leg husk of a spider. I looked that up and that drops from
that spider lady boss
. I beat that boss but I don't have the husk.

Do I need to go so that fight again? Or does it only drop in twilight or something?

Also, if each piece needs one of those, does that mean I have to get a new one for every single piece? Or can I make the set with just one?

I've collected all kodama and finished all missions but the 6th region still shows I have some to do.

Any idea?

There is a mission unlocks once you
do the Dual Swords mystic art mission.

wat do hirogumo fragments do

Trophy and unlocks some lore in the Matsunage Hisahide profile.

Yeah it drops off them, and you would need one for each piece.

I'm not sure what the drop rate is though.

Don't have any room for buffs on my shortcuts. I just prefer power pills personally.

.

Cheers, think I got em all ! At least I got all Kodamas too, just boss now.

This level is the worst one so far.

How are NG+ summons so bad? Like, I haven't died at all in these levels but these dudes (who supposedly have done these missions?) are dying left and right...

I'm nearly done in region two and decided to finish the sub-level in region one,Tachibana Muneshige boss fight.

holy shit, this guy.

I did it before I even went to region 2 for the first time. Had a feeling that I was under levelled for the fight so I just cheesed the fuck out of him by circling the rock on the left hand side and throwing stuff at him. No shits given, fuck that guy and his OP one shot attacks.

Now I'm at the
poison cave
. This is some bullshit. Fire wheel on a narrow pathway above a sea of poison with huge yoki roaming around in it. Sure why not.
Not going to lie, I panicked when it first appeared.

That rock is your best friend in this fight.

People tend to get wild in co-op, haha. The pressure is off them alone so they start getting fancy. Usually bites them in the ass because shit still hits hard (I haven't gotten to ng+ but I assume that doesn't change lol)

Yeh I think it's the only way unless you go back and do him while you're at a higher level.

I have a question though... His moveset, is all that stuff unlockable through the skill trees for us to use? Because if not that's some bullshit.

Uchibana fight is bullshit if you are spirit build, you cant build your living weapon at all

How is a living weapon build generally? Personally I'm nearing the end of the game and dabbling in a bit of everything. The combos seem pretty limited and a bit dull when using the LW, is it much fun if you get really invested?

Everything is either 80% or OHKO for me, but since the attack patterns are exact the same I don't get how people are surprised by certain enemies.

~~

Whoa now, NG+ Dojo is the best part of the game.
