Woo! Made some great progress last night. Finished off Region 4, did the the final Ninjitsu Dojo mission, and did the Master Duel Swords Dojo mission. I got exotic swords from that boss.

Question for Duel Sword users: Is there a seperate mission with that guy for his armor set??? If so, when does that pop up?

Also, one thing I really appreciate and love, the character models look so crisp during the in game cutscenes.

Is there a stat i should stop at for first playthrough ?

Like 20 , 30 etc... For weapon damage, katanas.

General wisdom is to get everything to at least 10, and then pump the main stat of your chosen weapon while getting whatever Magic or Dexterity you need for your build along the way. Don't forget to pick up enough Spirit for the guardian as well.

I think my favorite thing about this game is the large number of short, varied missions. Might cause problems for co-op matchmaking down the line but I love that when I only have a few minutes to play I can help someone cross a bridge and get a big pile of loot and amrita.

I honestly think 70% of my deaths are by water, boulders, cannons etc...

I keep forgetting this one of those games

Yeah, that's my main gripe against this style of games. Once you've learned the rules you'll recognize that the most difficult challenge comes from traps or battling enemies in uncomfortable situations: "Oh you've figured how to kill this demon? well,, try to kill it in this narrow place and if you move away too much you'll fall into the water and die".

Although I do like that it works to change your strategy to kill them, you have to relearn the enemy patterns and abandon your comfort zone, but it's an unfair excuse to do it.

That's not exactly what I'm talking about, but you're not wrong.

I mean I die by the stupidest of stuff because I keep forgetting traps exist haha

Nice one. Any advice for gold farming. I'm just farming revenants and selling their gear and mats.

There's a particular mission called 'Battle on Bridge ~Oroshi' that I farmed on NG+. All the revenants there are ~130ish and decked in full divine sets. Get roughly 350k or so killing every single one on the bridge and selling it all without disassembling.

Why does she have new clothes???
Please tell me theres a dress up mechanic like ds2.

She wears new clothes after you unlock NG+.

Congrats, but how? I thought all Twilight versions of missions are required for plat, and I don't think the game has been out enough days for every Twilight mission to have cycled through.

There are only 9 Twilight missions for some reason.

That's not true. I've got the trophy for completing all missions as well. There are only 9 twilight missions:

The Blessed Village (15)
An Ominous Cavern (20)
The Squirming Sprite (30)
Foreboding Seas (49)
The Best and the Worst (75)
The Bleeding Spider Lily (90)
Where Dark Forces Gather (100)
Bearer of Ill Tidings (125)
Evil in the Ether (145)

It has. I got the Samurai of Legend Trophy just now

.....That is incredibly fucking lame. They had better add more through free dlc.

I guess I just assumed there was a twilight version of every story mission at the very least. :(

My Ninjitsu Bomber build is okay, but not great. In the 5th region, I feel like the raw damage output is lagging.

With 2 Ranks in extra Ninja Points, I can equip,
- Max stack of Big Bombs (3x)
- Max stack of Medium Bombs (6x)
- Max stack of Small Bombs (9x)
- One stack of Kunai

I will probably cut the Small Bombs for more Kunai or Flame Shuriken. Flame damage wrecked for a bunch of the earlier game, but now I feel like it is lagging and not keeping up. Do any stats increase scaling of Flame Damage or the Flame damage-over-time? Lighting a boss on fire and then just running around scoring cheap shots as they die is fun, but I've run into a few bosses in a row now where getting the Flame debuff to actually stack to full is really hard.

I played past the Tower of London intro last night and got to the starting area on the beach that we played in the alpha and beta. Looking forward to getting started proper later on, but I am loving it already all the same. It feels good to have a PS4 again and the slim is pure sex.

In the Ninjutsu skill tree, there's a skill that says something like "Recurrent Damage Increased". This increases poison/fire damage you cause to enemies.

THe equipment thing must be wonderful for people that know what they want. I am just sitting and looking at my skills and only have a vague idea what I want >_>

Do you guys always use pieces of armor with max defense value even if they are from different sets, or do you give preference to wear a whole set of armor (even if that means you are not using the best pieces in terms of defense value)?

So if anyone is running low on Elixir like I was last night fighting that Duel:

Remove your Elixir shortcut while on the map
Put all your Elixir into your Storehouse
Go into a map where you have a bunch of Kodama
You'll get three Elixir + extra from your Kodama + a few from your storehouse
Leave using the Fragment item that sends you back to the start point
Put your Elixir into the storehouse

Rinse and repeat! I was netting an extra 6 everyone time I stored them.

i'm at Region
5
and the game is now turned into ULTRA SHIT, is it gonna be like this for the rest of the game ?

lmao at ultra shit. I love this post.

I get the idea but what is the point?

I have that, but I need something I can stack on armor.

Also, there's an Onmyo Cast Speed gear stat, but not a bomb/kunai throw stat. The Big Bomb is the best part of Ninjitsu, but is too slow in most circumstances to actually throw and not get interrupted.

I'm a damage whore. I prioritize set bonuses. Especially ones that give 30%-ish damage bonus to enemies afflicted with a specific element.

Wow, Memories of Death Lilies came a lot further into the game than I was expecting. I wonder if they toned down the difficulty for the demo version because if it's the same, I feel like I'm about to just blaze through it with all the extra magic at my disposal.

Well, there are no human enemies now. But honestly it feels easier because there are so few enemies.
