I'm maining the spear after the respecand the game became as fun as the begibning all of the sudden.

Spears are the closest thing we can get to character action game lol.

For people get insane amount of amrita on NG+ or something? assuming you are on
NG+ ofcourse.

Because I don't think I have the patience to reach that level on normal NG.
Whaaaaat? Have you used dual swords?

Deaths aren't always a good indication of how difficult a game is....
If your goal is to "beat the game" with the least amount of deaths possible, sure then its a good indication. But for instance, my death count will be much higher than the majority here, if i i like a boss, i'll learn to master it straight away, rather than just trying to beat it, which means resetting that fight over and over again.

that helmet was never cool.
Who the hell doesn't hide the helmet? :P

Handsome Samurai Geralt > goofy monster masks with big mustaches, any day

I'm guessing that non-paid patches will bring

- The obvious balance tweaks.
- New weapon/armor bonuses.
- More twilight missions
- A revision to how Twilight missions are accessed.
- Probably a third shortcut tab.

The game's great, but there are some obvious tweaks that fall well within the realm of what this type of game usually gets as free support.

Weapons are supposed to be capped at 150, the only thing that should level up is the (+). I want to understand that picture.
There's a glitch in the game where you can forge a weapon and it will be the level of the highest mission you completed. The twilight missions can be 300+ so your weapon can be forged past the 150 limit.

two kings.

it's more balanced imo and I can actually have fun without the need to something to seperate the two.

I believe so. There's a move that kicks enemies in the air.

That's awesome! Will choose after I do another respec.

I agree. Did this last night and more enjoyable and I felt a bit easier than Two Kings.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I can't beat the third boss
Hino
to save my life, and I'm about to give up. I know how to fight her, but one wrong move, and it's usually over. Even summoning someone hasn't been fruitful. lol

I think part of the problem is I'm doing shit for damage and it's making the fight take longer than it should.

I'm down to help. No shame in that really my most difficult bosses were the second and third. Once I got passed them though I think it just clicked for me and have had no issues other than a boss who practically immune to my favorite abilities/techniques. That on my stubbornness to change my build for him, in the end I still bested him with my setup.

.

Yeah its really awesome fight, but the other one is just like "Ey remember that rock".
I dont mind using the environment to your advantage, but this is a super lame concept.

Fuck that, I've been rocking the demon mask for quite some time now and love the look of it. I can't remember the exact item name but it's the simple kind-of beige one, not the Ogress one with horns and all that.

His face kind of annoys me, he looks like a Chippendale.

EDIT: Sorry, it's gold and it's the 'Demon God Visor', love the look of that thing.

Demon God Visor. Wearing that as well.

Why would I hide my helmet? It's what makes this work!

I think I beat her on my third, maybe fourth try.

Take your time. Nothing wrong with getting in a little damage at a time over a longer boss fight.

She moves relatively quickly, so don't try to get a ton of hits in at once. Do not let her grab you.

Keep your distance and wait for her to move close to you and finish her combos. Get a few hits in and then create distance again.

I appreciate the offer, but I think I want to go back to trying to beat her solo for now. If I can't beat the third boss, the rest of the game probably doesn't bode well for me. lol
Good on you. She was probably the boss I died most on when I finally beat her things just clicked. It's like solving a puzzle you've been fighting for hour when you have that epiphany and all seemed so obvious it feels good. Just you wait till she feels like a common enemy. Like frieza when future trucks comes in and wrecks him lol.

Hino is a common roadblock for a lot of people I've found. FWIW, I struggled a ton with Nioh back during the Alpha and Beta but at the end of the Beta I basically had an epiphany. This game is all about being aggressive. Dodge through attacks and pressure your enemy when they're low on stamina/Ki. Playing defensively tends to drag fights out and can lead to more mistakes.

What weapons/equipment are you using? Do you have any Ninjitsu/Onmyo magic?

In the Tokai region, I'm finding myself becoming underleveled a lot in the mid to late 70s. Do guys farm missions? So far I've only done each mission and side mission once.

May I ask, around what level you were when you faced her? I think my biggest issue is when I get the opening to attack, I do almost no damage.

Not exactly sure, but I don't think I could have been off the average for that part of the game.

I didn't do anything grinding or replay any of the missions. I think I did a sub mission or two, but that's it.

I don't remember doing a lot of damage either.
