From 8/23/2016, the Beta Demo of Nioh will be available from the PlayStation®Store! Players who clear a certain mission of the Beta Demo will be entitled to download The Mark of the Strong and The Mark of the Conqueror, which will grant them special equipment in the final game. Don't miss out!

We will also be conducting a survey to get your feedback on Nioh and make the final game even better. Tell us what you think!
If you have already downloaded the Mark of the Conqueror, you will be able to start the Beta Demo with your equipment and items. (※Only when starting a NEW GAME.)
• The Nioh Beta Demo will be available for a limited time only. After this time, the demo will not be available to download or to play.

• The Beta Demo offers one more chance to get the Mark of the Conqueror! Simply clear the Beta Demo mission Island of Oni to get it. So those of you who missed the Alpha Demo be sure to give it a try. (Note, this is only for those who have not yet obtained the Mark of the Conqueror.)

• Neither the Mark of the Conqueror or the Mark of the Strong will be available to download after the Alpha Demo period is over, so please download it while you can.

• Release timing may vary based on regional settings and network conditions.

• The Nioh Beta Demo is online only. You will not be able to play if you are not online.

This beta demo will feature new training stage "Dojo", another unseen stage and selection of new weapons, so there is something new for people that have previously acquired the Mark of the Conqueror.
In addition players who can clear certain stage are now entitled to Mark of the Strong DLC which will give you even more special equipment in the final game, so don't miss this chance to get your gear in check and experience the game before it releases late 2016.

So sad i won't be able to play it this time around because i'm on a trip =(

Day 1 on the game, though. Looking forward to reading the beta 2's impressions.

I want to like this game but I never understood the mechanics plus it was so dark (like I can't see most things on my screen).

Hopefully the dojo helps with understanding the game.

This is going to be amazing, Wondering if they tweaked difficulty in the Beta, and how it plays compared to the Alpha. Really enjoyed sinking into it last time, can't wait to see how it has improved!

Looking forward to playing tomorrow. I got the Mark of the Conqueror in the Alpha, but I never got around to playing the second level. It'll be nice to see the changes they've made (no more ridiculous weapon degradation!).

My gut feeling is that they're going to leave the enemy difficulty but improve the systems that surrounded it to make it a more fair - yet still difficult and punishing - experience.

Lock on, weapon degradation, slightly easier first 2-3 enemy encounters will make the experience better for average players without dumbing the game down

Got all my fingers and toes crosses for this version of a potential outcome! The changes list last time looked a little severe to me, but I'll see tomorrow.

There is no more weapon degradation so we have that already. You get bonus's for using a weapon a lot instead of it degrading.

Anyone who wants to play this early should just create a new AU account. Takes like 10 minutes to set up.

Wait, having the Mark of the Conqueror does two things if I'm understanding this correctly:

#1 You retain your equipment and items from your Alpha Demo run if you have the Conqueror's Mark.
#2 In the final game it unlocks special equipment (along with the Mark of the Strong)

Anyway, I'm hyped as fuck for tomorrow. Just like with the Alpha, I'm probably going to abandon a lot of my other games as I sink my teeth into this demo.

Nope. I don't have PS+ and I was able to download the Alpha demo and play with other people. I expect this to change in the final release.
