Some people are going to get mad, even if the dub is incredible well done. Honestly, I don't mind purists but I do not like when they start bashing games with good localization and voice acting...If it's anything like XBC's dub then that's not really the worst thing that can happen to the Western release.
Why would you want to listen to bad actors in another language when you can listen to bad actors you can actually understand?![]()
One of my genuine fears is that Treehouse or even 8-4 will handle the XCX dub
yes, even though it's a game about an American spaceship crashlanding on an alien planet, I still want British VA
The English dub is perfect, so no real issue here :V
I didn't even realize we got a confirmed release in NA. Where have I been?
When is it coming out?
DLC would be nice. Been done before.
Riki English voice went totally the opposite direction of the original Japanese version, so it cannot be perfect.
Framerate seems OK, but what about framerate in 3D mode ?
It doesn't seem to be mentioned in the preview.
you are operating under the assumption that the original Japanese version is perfect
maybe the dub is better
it happens sometimes
Ugh. I remember downloading that file for Drakengard 3.

I wouldn't call it petty necessarily. It can degrade the experience alot for some purists who prefer to play it in its original intended language but in this case since it has a decent dub it's not that bad but you can't claim good dubs are the norm with these type of games since more often than not they are bad, that's why some people would prefer these games to have dual audio as much as possible to be on the safe side.
"EDGY" "petty"
Pretty mean.

I love the British voice actors in this game. They vastly outshine the Japanese originals.
I thought they were passing up the game entirely which IS pretty petty to me. But Ansatz clarified he played the Wii version already and that it's just his preference for the 3DS version and that's fine by me.
Guess I'll hold off on buying it then.
Please let us turn off the inane battle chatter. Please. For the love of Iwata.
I'm outraged. Unlike some of you in this thread I've seen over three animes so I know that Japanese voice acting is ALWAYS better than the pleb English "voice acting" today. Anyone who thinks otherwise clearly knows nothing about games, anime or Japanese culture and should probably stop gaming.
Going to have to skip it then, Wii remains the superior version.
This never gets oldNintendo just shot themselves in the foot.
I don't know how much the rest of you know about Otaku culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in America where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw over an Otaku, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.
What this means is the Otaku, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase Xenoblade for either 3DS or Wii U, nor will they purchase any of Nintendo's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Nintendo has alienated an entire market with this move.
Nintendo, publicly apologize and give Xenoblade for 3DS a free dub DLC or you can kiss your business goodbye.

Now it's definitely Reyn time.
English (British) Voice cast, is worth it
Sharla... did... did you see what I did?
Good, the JPN voices were garbage. Dunban in particular is so bad in Japanese and doesn't fit his character at all.
Are you thinking of The Last Story? Will this have online play like the Wii one used to? I never got a chance to play it before the servers shut down.
lol I love this
Thank you.
We've come full circle.
I live to serve. This never gets old
