It may be a bit mean but, yeah, I get you. It's just such an exciting concept that things like 'I don't like the gunplay' wouldn't really bother me. For me it's about exploring, finding something new and this game seems to promise that.I'd be more than happy to find Bolari V. We've only seen a tiny section of it and there's a whole damn planet out there to investigate, including a labyrinth of caves and caverns. Every time I watch the trailers with Bolari V in them, all I can think is, I wonder what's over there or I wonder what's down there.
I really don't understand people. I suppose it boils down to: There's no point in offering people a vast universe to explore if they've only got tiny imagination. That sounds mean but I'd say it more or less sums it up.
I have enough narrative driven games, enough short-attention-span games which have objectives and objectives and explosions and competition. I just want to play something new, where the joy is in exploring and not competing or achieving or progressing but I can understand why people feel that lack of constant feedback unsettling with how game design is these days.
