Striker029 said:Why did Corey Dillon want released from NE to sign with PHI?
Signing with Buffalo, I understand, but why Philly? He won't get any more carries there than what he got in New England.![]()
Rorschach said::lol Imagine Jake mistake with even less time to throw.
Free-agent running back Corey Dillon was scheduled to visit the Bills today, before the team consummated a trade sending Willis McGahee to the Baltimore Ravens. But before he could take the trip, Dillon cancelled, thinking that Buffalo did not represent the right situation for him. Dillon is unwilling to go to a team he does not feel is on the cusp of a championship, and the Bills, in his eyes, do not qualify. Dillon, however, would welcome the chance to play for the Philadelphia Eagles or Tennessee Titans, where he could be a complementary back on what he believes is a surefire playoff contender.

Link is on ESPN.
If it included Garcia and a first round pick, we could get CJ, Garcia, and Joe Thomas in one fell swoop! You guys could keep Jake and have Moss get into fights with Chucky and Galloway.Meier said:I'm hoping it's reality and not just my imagination! Saw something about this the day before but didn't want to post it in case I jinxed it. Randy's first trip to the great state of Florida didnt go so well with the whole dismissal from FSU thing, but I'll give him another chance.![]()

The Jaguars safety traveled to Seattle after the Seahawks went 1-for-3 in the big free agent sweepstakes, landing defensive end Patrick Kerney but losing guard Kris Dielman and tight end Daniel Graham. Unwilling to lose Grant to the New York Giants or other teams, the Seahawks stepped up and made Grant the third-highest-paid safety in football, giving him a six-year deal worth more than $30 million a year.

Tamanon said:And that's why we didn't resign Grant, he's not worth that high a salary. Sensabaugh future!......Draft Reggie Nelson, Jags!

It's not gonna happen, though.

Yeah, I know Plummer was the rumored trade, but since we were talking fantasy talk, I threw in mine. Let me dream!!!Meier said:Erm, but we'd trade Plummer, not Garcia. And we sure as hell wouldn't give up our first.. Moss is a malcontent and I wouldn't be shocked at a 1 to 1 trade for Plummer. Maybe a first next year at most.
Rorschach said:Poor Justin Fargas.
Oh, well. Bittersweet news. Didn't think they'd go out and spend that much on a back when they just got Jordan to restructure his contract. Kind of a slap in the face too since Jordan sacrificed part of his bonus to STAY on what some people consider a sinking ship. On the other hand, realistically, we could use the insurance. Good news overall.
Poor, poor Fargas.

Vic: He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of Tom Brady.

That's his own fault!! No "poor Dom" from me.
I read he wanted something in the five-year deal area.Wellington said:What did we offer him, if we even did offer him something?
So far I seem to be correct. BJac/James Sims future.
I really really REALLY hope that if we draft an RB it's not in the first or second round. We have a lot more pressing needs. if we were to take an RB I'd love to have Garret Wolfe of Northern Illinois. I just think it would be funny since BJac is from Southern Illinois. :lol
Continuing to overhaul their backfield, the Jets signed former Dolphins fullback Darian Barnes yesterday to an undisclosed free-agent contract.
The addition of Barnes, coupled with Monday's trade for Thomas Jones, will give the Jets a new starting tandem in the backfield.
The 6-2, 240-pound Barnes, who grew up in Toms River, N.J., is regarded strictly as a blocking back, which the Jets lacked last season. He played in 16 games last season, starting six, but he had no rushes. Barnes will replace B.J. Askew, who signed last week with the Bucs.
Barnes entered the NFL in 2002 as a rookie free agent with the Giants. He has played with the Bucs, Cowboys and Dolphins.

3. Cowboys 9-7
