oooooh you read minds well toots.

Randy Mcmichael 07' stats vs. Vaginal Davis 07' stats. Game of choice on the line. :D

Why did Corey Dillon want released from NE to sign with PHI?

Signing with Buffalo, I understand, but why Philly? He won't get any more carries there than what he got in New England.

He didnt want to go to us from the start. He was Targeting the Jets and Ravens.

But then the Jets get Thomas Jones and the Ravens get Willis McGahee and we arrive at this point.

New England told him Moroney was gonna be the full time starter, not the 1-2 punch thing they had going last year

:lol Imagine Jake mistake with even less time to throw.

I'm hoping it's reality and not just my imagination! Saw something about this the day before but didn't want to post it in case I jinxed it. Randy's first trip to the great state of Florida didnt go so well with the whole dismissal from FSU thing, but I'll give him another chance. :D :D

just so you guys dont think im pullin the Dillon story outta my ass, from NFL.com:

Free-agent running back Corey Dillon was scheduled to visit the Bills today, before the team consummated a trade sending Willis McGahee to the Baltimore Ravens. But before he could take the trip, Dillon cancelled, thinking that Buffalo did not represent the right situation for him. Dillon is unwilling to go to a team he does not feel is on the cusp of a championship, and the Bills, in his eyes, do not qualify. Dillon, however, would welcome the chance to play for the Philadelphia Eagles or Tennessee Titans, where he could be a complementary back on what he believes is a surefire playoff contender.

If it included Garcia and a first round pick, we could get CJ, Garcia, and Joe Thomas in one fell swoop! You guys could keep Jake and have Moss get into fights with Chucky and Galloway. :D :D

It's not gonna happen, though.

Interesting. Is he worth the $?
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2792518

The Jaguars safety traveled to Seattle after the Seahawks went 1-for-3 in the big free agent sweepstakes, landing defensive end Patrick Kerney but losing guard Kris Dielman and tight end Daniel Graham. Unwilling to lose Grant to the New York Giants or other teams, the Seahawks stepped up and made Grant the third-highest-paid safety in football, giving him a six-year deal worth more than $30 million a year.

I'd probably say not. Both the Panthers and the Jags have let him walk in recent years, when they could have resigned him. He is pretty good, though. Tackles well, gets to the ball well, but can't catch the ball to save his life and does occasionally get totally embarassed in coverage (but then doesn't everyone?).

Why would it sadden you. West + Droughns + Moats ( who is more than capable of being the #2 back, but i think he ****ed Reids wife and thats why he doesnt get playing time) Is a hell of a RB Trio

no what i meant is that it saddens me that since mahe is on the market....THATS WHO REID WILLS SIGN...mahe :(

i dont get the deal with moats. 2 seasons ago he showed some brilliant runs and took it to the house. but he seems to get no time, even as a PR/KR. i know he does not have the best of hands but that alone can not be it.

And that's why we didn't resign Grant, he's not worth that high a salary. Sensabaugh future!......
Draft Reggie Nelson, Jags!

Nelson
& Sensabaugh would make an awesome safety combo when DD runs out of steam.

Erm, but we'd trade Plummer, not Garcia. :p And we sure as hell wouldn't give up our first.. Moss is a malcontent and I wouldn't be shocked at a 1 to 1 trade for Plummer. Maybe a first next year at most.

Are there any kickers available? Is Vanderjagt still looking for a job? The Skins got rid of all their place kickers save one: Shaun Suisham. With Feely gone to Miami, I don't know of any other options...

Suisham did a really decent job for us last year. I feel comfortable with him but I definitely agree that there always needs to be competition at any position.

Yeah, I know Plummer was the rumored trade, but since we were talking fantasy talk, I threw in mine. Let me dream!!!

I don't think Moss for Plummer (who was just about to hang it up) would fly, though. You guys will have to get rid of someone, though. 5 qbs...3 way controversy. :lol

You guys are just horders!

Eagles sign CB William James to a 1-Year contract.

Whew, i was getting concerned that we went doing anything CB wise. I didnt wanna have to draft a CB early, and i didnt want joselio hanson being the #3.

Poor Justin Fargas.

Oh, well. Bittersweet news. Didn't think they'd go out and spend that much on a back when they just got Jordan to restructure his contract. Kind of a slap in the face too since Jordan sacrificed part of his bonus to STAY on what some people consider a sinking ship. On the other hand, realistically, we could use the insurance. Good news overall.

Poor, poor Fargas.

Sinking ship? How is that possible?

From the jaguars.com Ask Vic today:

Sharon from Port Charlotte, FL: What did I miss concerning Kyle Brady? Has he retired? Traded?
Vic: He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of Tom Brady.

Rhodes chooses Raiders over Giants.

That's his own fault!! No "poor Dom" from me.
What did we offer him, if we even did offer him something?

So far I seem to be correct. BJac/James Sims future.

I really really REALLY hope that if we draft an RB it's not in the first or second round. We have a lot more pressing needs. if we were to take an RB I'd love to have Garret Wolfe of Northern Illinois. I just think it would be funny since BJac is from Southern Illinois. :lol

With Dom Rhodes, and a renewed Joey Porter the Raiders Offense has no where to go but up. If they get there QB situation dealt with and add a few pieces to the O-Line I think the Raiders should go at least 6-10 this year.

I read he wanted something in the five-year deal area.

Obviously he felt he deserved more money and went to OAK to get that and to only receive a two-year deal.

Since Big Jake will get 20 carries (majority), a backup isn't that important unless, knock on wood, injury.

I would've loved Travis Henry or Ahman Green, but the market is out of control.

Somebody on NFL Network reported they're interested in T.J. Duckett.

Rhodes was great in the playoffs but I find it hard to ignore his performance all season long wondering why he was taking carries away from Addai. Maybe it helped in the long run with fatigue and injuries but he is a 2-system back/backup ideally. He lacks the ability to make people miss and doesn't have very good patience or balance after contact. Then again I've watched Faulk/James and people running on the Colts D for 10 years. Maybe my perception is skewed.

Continuing to overhaul their backfield, the Jets signed former Dolphins fullback Darian Barnes yesterday to an undisclosed free-agent contract.

The addition of Barnes, coupled with Monday's trade for Thomas Jones, will give the Jets a new starting tandem in the backfield.

The 6-2, 240-pound Barnes, who grew up in Toms River, N.J., is regarded strictly as a blocking back, which the Jets lacked last season. He played in 16 games last season, starting six, but he had no rushes. Barnes will replace B.J. Askew, who signed last week with the Bucs.

Barnes entered the NFL in 2002 as a rookie free agent with the Giants. He has played with the Bucs, Cowboys and Dolphins.

We are serious about the run game. Looking at our brutal schedule next year, this is a very good thing.

Giants get Reuben Droughns, straight up for Tim Carter, according to Sirius Radio.

Haha, if the real-life Droughns is anything like the Madden Droughns, the Giants are in for a looooong season. :lol

NFC East 2007-2008:

1. Redskins 11-5
2. Eagles 10-6
3. Cowboys 9-7
4. Giants 6-10

Meanwhile I won a GAF league superbowl with the Broncos with him as the main RB. Go figure.

Sorry, let me revise that by saying "Madden 2007 Cleveland Browns Droughns." Or maybe the EA formula they use to formulate team offensive scores just automatically makes everyone on the Browns suck! :lol

Why the hell would the Lions also sign TJ Duckett? Are they just trying to see how many mediocre running backs they can have on the roster at one time?
