Dude, Droughns is sweet and if he gets behind a decent line in NY he's gonna rush for 1200 and 12 TDs this year.

Anyways, rumor has it that Kevin Curtis didn't sign with the Lions because-- wait for it-- he didn't want to live in Detroit. :lol that's why he was almost a lock to continue playing with Martz one week, until the next day after his visit he fired his agent and left town. :lol

you guys have enough ex-rams as it is

Alan Branch's stock is apparently falling now, after he got pwned in drills by KC's defensive line coach, Tum Krumrie at his pro day. He looked very out of shape, and was even about to quit. I don't know if I even want him now. First off he shows up out of shape which shows hes lazy, stupid, and arrogant, and then he gets pwned in one on one slap drills by a guy who hasn't been in the league in almost a decade.

Jesus, Joey Porter is a sack of shit:

magine what practice would have been like.

Former Steelers linebacker Joey Porter was cited for misdemeanor battery after allegedly punching Bengals left tackle Levi Jones in the face in Las Vegas over the weekend, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal.

The incident happened at a blackjack table in the Palms casino on Sunday night, the newspaper reported.

Before signing with the Dolphins earlier this month , Porter was said to be negotiating with the Bengals – and Cincinnati was reportedly in the running.

"Apparently these two have a history with each other, a history of trash talking on the field,” Las Vegas police Lt. Kevin McMahill told the newspaper.

Bengals public relations director Jack Brennan did not know about the alleged incident until contacted for possible comment this morning by The Enquirer.

Brennan said he would relay the report to Bengals coach Marvin Lewis, who might or might not comment about it.

Jones makes his offseason home in Las Vegas and was not immediately available for comment.

Porter was released by the Steelers before free agency opened in a cost-cutting measure. He has 60 career sacks and rushed many times off the left side of the Bengals offense, where Jones was assigned to block.

How about "Dolphins linebacker?"

So glad Porter is the Dolphins overpriced problem now. But, who knows what Levi's role in that was. Was probably a fight over something extremely stupid.
Given the aptitude for criminal activity Bengals players have shown over the last year, I think it is safe to assume it was all Levi's fault and he just brought Joey down with him.

I never really got why some Steeler fans were upset that Joey left. I was pretty happy over it.

Per Rotoworld:
Giants signed FB Vonta Leach to a four-year, $8 million offer sheet.

The deal includes $1.6 million in guaranteed money, NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports. Houston has seven days to match the proposal.

Leach is the type of FB that fits in this power run offense. Finn does not.

Jesus

Although a police report won’t be filed until Friday, Bengals left tackle Levi Jones was not only allegedly punched by Joey Porter Sunday night in a Las Vegas casino but he also told police he was robbed in the attack.

The Bengals said Monday that Jones has no serious injuries after police confirmed he had facial cuts.

Officer Martin Wright of the Vegas police said Monday that Jones said he had some jewelry stolen in an incident that apparently has roots in on-field trash talking that goes back several years.

Some sources indicated Monday that as many as seven people, including Porter, were involved in an attack of Jones, but police wouldn’t confirm the report and said they were attempting to find out if the incident is on tape.

Leach is pivotal to our run blocking. I believe the Texans will match the offer. I'll be upset if they don't match the offer.

Texan fan? I read the Texan ground game improved when Cook went down and Leach became starter. True?

I also read in an article where Wali Lundy had extremely nice things to say about Leach.

Joey Porter is a dick. Remember when the Cleveland player tried to shake his hand and he dissed him really bad? That is no way for a grown man to act. He's still a child, and thus the Steelers gave that dude the boot. He jus hatin'.

Well like I said I am a big fan of Finn. He's a local favorite and his workman attitude is a rare sight these days in the NFL. Finn can catch and he is an above average blocker. I admit I don't know anything about Leach, so I will remain open minded.

Rape at Patrick Kerney's house!

Not by him!

No kidding the stealers fans loved joey till he left em.

That Kerney rape thing is weird. Who is this "friend" of his that seeming lives in his house and brings over strange men while drunk. All while Kerney is sleeping in bed. Strange. It's not like he needs to split rent with a roommate.

I was sick of Joey last year and was openly saying the Steelers should not resign him.

I am glad we didn't waste any money resigning him. And looking at the Steelers recent history, most of the big name free agents we let go of normally don't live up to their contracts with other teams.

Woohoo! Just secured Redskins season tickets for face value! Section 110 endzone center, 2 pre-season and 8 season games, $990. :D

Now to save up for the inevitable playoff/Superbowl tickets next January... :D

1. Been posting off and on about Porter's in game disappearances for several seasons now.

2. He didn't leave, Steelers told him his services were no longer required. He did have one year left on his contract.

Its over! CHAMP Simms dropped the megaton!

Buccaneers QBs Jeff Garcia and Chris Simms spoke with PewterReport.com and the media today at One Buc Place. Simms was more newsworthy. Here are some highlights:

• Simms said that Jon Gruden is definitely going to be implementing the shotgun this year. He said that the guys are fired up about it and that it will help the offense this year.

This better be in Gruden's playbook in Madden!

Shotgun sucks if you use it too much. Makes your qb a sitting duck for a good defense, especially if you are trying to throw for more than 3 yards downfield.

Then again who am I to question the offensive genius of Gruden?

You just made Gruden's case! I think the Bucs had 4 passes for 20+ yards last season @_@

You should know by now, Gruden uses the forward pass as his running game. 2nd and 8? Did we run the ball or throw the ball on 1st down? Youll never know!

My point was that it is hard to throw downfield in a shotgun formation because usually the qb won't have enough time. To make it work you need a really good offensive line more than anything else.

Players matter more than schemes in any case.

My point was that the Bucs never go down field anyway, with Shotgun it means we'll actually have more than 3 options on the field (maybe!). Gruden would always keep extra TEs and Backs in for blocking, making it difficult to find a man open. While other teams would have 4-5 options on 3rd down, the Bucs would have 3-4. HOPEFULLY the Shutgun being added into the offense means that Gruden actually feels better about our line heading into the season, they did damn well with 2 rookies starting.

I think most of the offensive adages we grew up with are no longer true.

I hate all this nonsense about the Lions trading down.. this sucks. They're trying to force our hand. I'd rather we say **** it and pick Gaines Adams, but CJ could be the real deal on offense and having him as a threat along with Caddy could open some doors.

We need SOMETHING to happen with our passing offense. Last season was a nightmare for Caddy. 1st and 2nd downs were pretty much 8-9 in the box waiting for the handoff. -_-

Where have you gone Michael Clayton?!

YOU'LL GET THE SAME DAMN PLAYBOOK AND YOU'LL LIKE IT! >:|

My favorite part of playing Madden so damn much is when you watch your team play, and they use plays that you use :lol

"Holy shit! Singleback Normal - Slot Mountain!!"

Yeah, not a single WR reverse in Madden for the Jags.....not that it would work in that stupid game anyways. Even though we run it once per game, like clockwork. The Reggie Reverse of 10-yard fame.

Archuleta traded to the Bears for a conditional 6th rounder.

What in the world will the 'Skins do with a draft pick?

that might be the writing on the wall for Mike Brown in chicago, i wouldnt be suprised to see him get cut

great player but he hasnt been healthy in over 3 seasons

Big Zep said:
I understand mike brown has been injured a lot, but if you cut him for AA....:lol

I doubt he gets cut. He's not making that much, and is pretty good when healthy.
He gets $2.5 mil next season, and if he stays healthy, that's a bargain. I know that's a big if, but there is still no reason to cut him.

AA is low-risk, low-reward deal, and there's nothing wrong with that.

agreed..hes the 3rd best player on your defense when healthy.

REAGOR SIGNS WITH EAGLES

Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that the Eagles have signed free-agent defensive tackle Montae Reagor.

The deal is worth $8.25 million over three years, with $2 million in guaranteed money.

Reagor, an eight-year veteran, spent the first four seasons of his career with the Broncos and the last four campaigns with the Colts.

He suffered facial injuries in an October 2006 automobile accident, and missed the rest of the season.

Not really what we needed. a Run Stopping DT would be better. But hey, cant complain
