So...while episode 4 wasn't QUITE as hacked to high hell as the other episodes were (Shanks still gets his arm bit off), there were some pretty big problems still.

One is Shanks' strange pseudo-Australian/Irish/non-descript accent. That was pretty bad.

Also, CORK AND CAP GUNS.

Why the fuck bother with a pirate show when the pirates can't use guns? Strangely, it's no good to show a man having a gun pointed at him, but it is ok to show him bleeding profusely from his recently misplaced limb.

111/112 absolutely rocked!

Wow... Crocodile really did a number on Luffy, it was rather surreal to see him that beat up. Interesting how Croc specifically mentions the differences in power & how he has trained his ability, instead of just being content to posses it. I mean, Luffy has a few slick moves, but clearly they're not in the same class... obviously with Crocodile being Shichibukai afterall.

Also seems like Robin has been working against the plan since Whiskey Peak, seeing as she never killed Igaram & now has saved Luffy, no doubt she'll play an important part in the conclusion of the arc.

Damn the next few episodes are going to be great!

More than a few. It's pretty much non-stop awesomeness through what I saw up to 120, and the final battle hadn't even started yet at that point. So you're probably realistically looking at about 15 more consistantly awesome episodes in a row, minimum.

And only a few more episodes before we FINALLY hit Opening 3.

So, I just started reading the manga and watching the anime. I saw episodes 1-4 and I picked up the first volume of the graphic novel and read the first 2 chapters. I thought One Piece was crap after watching the first episode on 2 different ocasions, but I gave it another shot and after the second episode I was hooked. I think I'm going to go on a huge One Piece binge like I did with Naruto.

How would you guys rate Jump's English manga translation btw?
