I actually think that they have to have some stronger connection than that, since all the Ds: Luffy, His grandfather, the giant in Ohara, and Roger in the old intro etc have the same exact smile, you could exchange the bottom half of their faces while smiling and they would look the same. I remember wondering why the hell did Oda make him look like so much like Luffy, now it fits.

It will be a recap about Arabasta with redone animation. I am actually hyped for this movie and it's better than crappy fillers. But I'm curious about how will they fit a whole arc in one movie.

Naruto's dub is a godsend compared to One Piece's. It really is impossible to overstate how awful what 4Kids did to the series is.

Why did Shanks and WB take so long to meet. They decided to meet way before the Straw Hats flew to Skypiea. They should be close to each other since they are in the "New World".

We don't know the exact reason why they are meeting, but the reason the government is trying to stop them is because they are 2 of the 4 "Emperor Pirates". Apparently it takes the entire force of the World Government and the Shichibukai to "maintain balance" against the 4 Emperors. And if White Beard and Shanks joined forces, they would cause ALOT of trouble for the government.

I wonder how the Ace and Black Beard fight will go? Will Black Beard's entire crew team up on Ace or will it be one on one (most likely). Obviously Ace can't "win" regardless, but I don't think Ace will "lose" either. Besides being a key character, I can't see Black Beard beating Ace outright because of his powers/abilities. Also if Black Beard beats Ace, then a Luffy and Black Beard fight will probably not be happening soon unless it's one of those "villain beats the crap out of the heroes and leaves them for dead" situations since I don't think Luffy has the power to beat Ace yet. Most likely something will interrupt Ace and Black Beard's fight, with neither side having a clear advantage.

But either way, I hope the fight gets shown vs the results just being meantioned in a later chapter like other mangas.

based on what Garp said, if two of the four emperors start a war, the grand line will loose it's balance, and that's exactly what Dragon has been waiting for

Watch the whole thing, One Piece is really about the journey of the story, rather than the end results. I'm only up to episode 100 or so, but up till that point, you stopped at what is the best part in the Anime up to that point. The Arlong Arc is absolutely amazing from the middle onward.

You haven't seen the best arc yettttt. That would be Arabasta. That was my favorite arc of the series. This current one is quite good too. But yeah... Watch the whole thing. It's very good.

Ugh the new anime intro sucks compaired to the last one. It just feels wrong for some reason.

Damn 4kids to hell for raping the anime for their english version. With any luck their rights to it will run out sooner rather then later and someone competent will pick it up and release it the way it was MEANT to be.

As for the manga... Well after the last story arc I thought things would slow down for at least a capter or two to let us breath but nope, we contiune onwards full steam ahead. Considering that the story just seems to keep getting better and better the longer it gets and we've still got a ways to go until the ending, what ever comes next, we know it'll be sweet.
