I love Chun soft dungeon explorers (i.e. Mystery dungeon Shiren the wonderer) but I fear Pokemon.
If you have Wii, get the Chocobo Dungeon game - it's not as good as Shiren, but it's much much better than PKM.lo zaffo said:Are Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games better than plain Pokemon games??

Wii Fit steps back up to No1
28/Jul/2008
This week its a return to No1 for Wii Fit (+32%) having lost out last week to Lego Indiana Jones.
THQs Wall-E climbs 12% over last week but has to settle for No2 for a second successive week. Mario Kart Wii climbs 23% to claim No3 and Activision Blizzard climb 7 places to No4 for the first full sales week of DS Guitar Hero: On Tour (+46%). Lego Indiana Jones drops from No1 to No5 (-15%) and a notable re-entry to the Top 10 is that perennial favourite Dr Kawashimas Brain Training up 7 places to No9 (+14%).

So like i've been saying people, during the school summer holidays you'll see nintendo continue to dominate but once the middle of september rolls around you'll see the gap close.
Handing over this summer? GTA? Metal Gear Solid? I don't think you are doing them justice with such a statement. Its just that Nintendo hit the mainstream's taste more this time. Sony and MS already had really big hitters this year.cjelly said:Wow, Nintendo are really cleaning up.
Sony and Microsoft are so fucking dumb for handing over this summer to Nintendo on a silver platter. There is no reason to think that this momentum will not carry over until Autumn and Winter, regardless of release schedules.
Gabyskra said:It's almost f-ing AUGUST man, why do you keep insisting on the school year just ending now when in some countries kids will come back to class in like 2 weeks.
I'd have bet on you giving us more reasons to ridicule you and yet again, you do not disappoint.
"Guys guys, you do realize that at some point Nintendo is not going to keep such a gigantic lead? They might lose a Wii game or two, maybe three or four, out of 30/40! and the PS3/360 will split that share."
No shit.

So? You know those UK kids are filthy rich, they basically sleep in beds made of money.BishopLamont said:Nintendo owns the charts in nearly every single European country, but no no no, in the UK it's because of the kids.
Nintendo owns the charts in nearly every single European country, but no no no, in the UK it's because of the kids. The problem with what doicare was doing is that he stretched this "kids and holidays" theory all the way back to fucking march or something. Not only that, he hand-picked dates, instead of giving an actual period where it was occuring. It's nothing but damage control for his idiocy for the past two years. There's no two camps dude, it's Neogaf versus some idiot.nli10 said:Thing is both camps are right, what is actually happening now is that the kids are buying slightly more games, and the adults are buying slightly more kid friendly games. Also less hardcore style games are being released and bought as us grown ups are busy having BBQs and cocktail parties (and similar). This combined effect was noticed on the DS in it's first big summer where the games that people wanted to play with their kids and on holiday dominated the charts for the six week break (Aug + 1 week July and 1 week Sep for non-UK peeps).
In summary in the UK summer kid friendly and casual games sell slightly more and core gamer games sell slightly less. Couple this with Nintendo having 3 high profile games to sell and the chart is obvious, especially as low sales will take the number 1 slot. Nintendo games per se do not however get a holiday boost, all family and portable travel games do.
Figured I'd nick that from my post last week and keep reusing it until it stops being relevant... :lol
With the amazing WiiFit increasing sales by 30% many weeks after release (due to fat kids being on their school holidays) I have to wonder whether the race for double platinum and indeed million selling diamond status is a reality. I think that it might even beat the individual GTAIV games there at this pace.I keed, i keed - see above
I do have to wow at a market so alive in this typically barren period for the stores - it's like retails slump period has been given a gift with all these games increasing in sales. I wonder if Soul Calibur can knock WiiFit out. Or will the Olympics bring familiar faces back to the top?
Oh - and - PS3s main games are now budget, but Wii games from similar release periods are still at full price? Gotta hurt the profit margins...
Only kids in UK have money and holidays? You can't put Nintendo's domination down to kids, it's been happening everywhere for awhile already.Taurus said:So Japan is basically Nintendo's weakest area today? Ridiculous.
Europe is the New Mushroom Kingdom, Japan can go **** themselves (or at least get a new name, like Land of the Rising Nintendo etc).
So? You know those UK kids are filthy rich, they basically sleep in beds made of money.

Well we can expext the DS and Wii sales to collapse right at the moment when the kids go to school in UK again, right? Am I right folks? ...Starchasing said:isnt this like the tax refund meme inthe us?
