The Starter pack includes any PS3 game that Sony published and a sale is a sale because you are not forced to buy Uncharted with the PS3.spwolf said:too bad for starter pack.. I doubt they actually thought Uncharted will have such huge legs....

Still too expensive, as I suggested in the other thread, taking out the Sixaxis and selling it for 450 would've been the better idea.carlosp said:personally i think the new startet pack well sell pretty well even at a 499 price tag because the value is pretty good. Anyway europe is sony land total for the next gen consoles.
Uncharted and Z&W performing best in Europe - gaming saved? Then again us Europeans also love BT, Singstar and other non-games. I'm confused.Lightning said:Uncharted is coming along quite nicely in Europe.
Just ad a "now with crossbows and Wii zapper support" and we could've a winner at hands.RJT said:All I'm saying is a Tom Clancy brand game would fit Wii. I was actually thinking about the old Rainbow Six PC shooters, that focused a lot on mission planning (you could even rely 100% on NPCs to complete a mission).
Hey, they could call it Tom Clancy's Anti-terrorist Training. I'm sure it would sell...
I guess you're being sarcastic here. Don't have any numbers at hand but I remember TR being the big thing back in the days - of course the series went downhill but I don't think that can neccessarily be linked to Uncharted failing.Hammer24 said:Uhm no, it got heavily advertised (as a PS3 game) on TV, especially on Pro7.
But you are right anyway - Uncharted is exactly the game that sells here. Just look what insane numbers Tomb Raider games make here.

Ah OK, sorry then. Man reading GAF for a while sure makes you paranoid :lol .Hammer24 said:I´m actually not. While TR is definitely declining, it still sells like hotcakes compared to games in other genres.
It honestly puzzles me why Uncharted doesn´t sell here.

Playing the troll card quickly I see. I just wanted to point out that its mainly PS2/Wii/DS that make it onto the console charts. The userbase of the PS3 isn't big enough yet to support Uncharted when there is also games like CoD and AC available.Phife Dawg said:Oh please, do tell. Trolls on the roll lately :lol .
Well you should watch more tv thenPhife Dawg said:Btw, AC made the list more than once - and I've only ever seen one TV spot for that.
TR also has a big following among the PC crowd, since Uncharted isn't available for PC this would to me at least partly explain the lack of awareness for the game.Hammer24 said:I´m actually not. While TR is definitely declining, it still sells like hotcakes compared to games in other genres.

Salazar said:Perhaps Tomb Raider sells because it's awesome.
One of the most trolled and downplayed franchises on GAF recently. Goddamn forum could at least have the civility to wait until the trailer / release / demo.

Sales wise - since it's selling so well in Europe, and not so much in the US - and Mass Effect is selling so well in the US, but not so hot in Europe....I'd say Uncharted is about 300,000 behind Mass Effect. Both over a million.carlosp said:but GAF said uncharted was a bomba. Gaf != reality?
Is it possible? :lol

Over two million. Best selling PS3 game is Motorstorm.Nidain said:Does that mean that the first PS3 game (Resistance) is only at number 33 on that top 50 ? Any idea about units sold ?

He means worldwide, not in the UK.Nidain said:I doubt that motorstorm sold 2 million in UK. Do you have a source for that ?
Raist said:It's quite puzzling that, except UK and France, Uncharted is starting to show up in the charts only now. It's been out for a month and a half. Word of mouth ?
Now since we don't have hard numbers for SW sales, it could be that it always sold pretty good, but there were games during its first month that sold better, ie it doesn't really sell much better but is charted now because other games dropped.
Thoughts ?
Loudninja said:Maybe the bundles as well?

Yuh worldwide. Sorry got mistracked. Sleepy sleepyNidain said:I doubt that motorstorm sold 2 million in UK. Do you have a source for that ?
I would. Uncharted will have sold around 600,000 in Europe, 400,000 in US.HK-47 said::lol i wouldnt count on that
Raist said:You mean retailer ones ? Because the new starter pack will be on sale in a few days, and I'm not even sure it will be sold in countries other than Spain and Portugal. At least, we never had a confirmation, did we ?
Loudninja said:SO they are not on sale yet?hmm
They are in Belgium though in some shops. Saw a ps3 + 2 sixaxis + ratchet + uncharted for 459 earlier today .Loudninja said:SO they are not on sale yet?hmm

In portugal it may have started. However, this bundle is nowhere to be seen on french FNAC's website for instance.
