Haru really grew on me as I played the game. I wish you would have encountered her earlier though.

Anyway, I also prefer Tae to Kawakami, so on that note I agreed with Japan and I'm Glad things turned out this way.

While it's expected, I'm saddened by Hifumi not being higher, but #6 ain't that bad

To be fair it's only a 7 votes difference between him and Tae. That's way closer than I imagined, I had assumed it was going to be a landslide.

My eyes started tearing up when I saw Ann near the bottom. How could they treat her like that?! Even though I had my relationship with Ann I agree with Tae and Kawakami's spots because I like them a ton.

Results are alright. I'm glad Yusuke ranked highly. Ryuji being that low sucks, but people have garbage taste so it's a natural consequence. Joker's probably the only protagonist who actually deserves to be #1.

That's pretty much exactly what I expected, though I thought Hifumi would be a spot higher with Sojiro and Kawakami being a toss up.
None I know likes Ann and she's probably the female character I see people talk about least online.
I liked Ann I don't get all the hate she receives and her higher tier spells are fucking insane. The only Phantom Thieves I did not like were Morgana and of course useless Ryuji.
People said he gets better during the game but it didn't feel that way to me. Spot deserved.

Akechi was a mistake, he's nothing but trash. I suppose it could have been worse, he ould have been included with the Phantom Thieves in the poll.
It's not about not liking Ann, I'm pretty sure most people are fine with her. It's just that... the other characters were more popular lol
Haru also beating her is maybe slightly surprising, but other than that, meh, Ann pretty much stops being relevant after the first arc in the game. Had no desire to hang out with her or anything. She's just very inoffensive and forgettable compared to everyone else imo
He really doesn't, he is absolutely useless from the moment you meet him.

Yeah Morgana was useless to me in battle. I used Makoto, She might not be as good as Morgana as a healer but she had nice buff skills which to me is much more important in a boss fight.
Same here. I cut Morgana loose as soon as Makoto joined and never used the cat again except to heal the party in dungeons.
Yusuke is high up on the list for the same reason Akechi is.
I really like Ann and would definitely place her and Ryuji higher up. She and Makoto almost never left my party.
Maybe it's just her lack of relevance to the plot after the first dungeon? But Haru has a similar issue, in addition to appearing late in the game, so idk

Second best girl is cool, I'll roll with it.
She seems to get the most love in terms of merch, in any case.
The only time I see people talk about her when they thrash her for how poorly her character is handled, thrash her for losing relevance, and thrash her for her inconsistent social link.

This is the first of the modern Persona's where I genuinely liked the entire party. 3 and 4 both had at least one stinker (Fuuka and Ken, and Yosuke respectively).
In terms of battle I used Yusuke and Haru until near the end when Ann and Ryuji become damage dealing monsters. Then I rolled with those two and Makoto.

I'm kinda mad Cu Chulainn isn't a top 10 Persona but whatever at least he's there. Why is Shiki Ouji so high though.
I was gonna say Loki in the top 5 is great since he's always been one of my favorite demons in the franchise, but then I realized why he's there and went like "oh, right".

Only real surprising thing is the Loli Twins being ranked so low. I figured Japan would've ranked them higher.

Compared to the other thieves, especially the Makoto, Yusuke, and Futaba, she really does have that prominent of a quirk or character archetype. Makoto's the badass student council president who is secretly a dork. Yusuke is fucking weird (in a good way), Futaba is the little sister otaku. Ann is...nice? Not saying that's a bad thing either but I feel like she was designed to be attractive foreign character, but in a game with numerous attractive female designs, it only makes her stand out less.
