The need to improve the mecanics , improve the pacing of the story
Dancing all night was a mediocre rythm game and didn't feel like a persona game at all.

Yknow I could almost buy into the Persona 4 cast having to dance for something cause Rise was an idol and pushed for it, and I could almost buy that there coincidentally was an evil god hanging out in a midnight channel like realm that was pulling people into a world with a song of discord...

But I don't know, hard for me to buy that the Persona 3 and 5 cast somehow have to learn how to dance and are also dealing with some crazy music focused deity

I mainly want to know if this time around they'll make sure the timing is correct for their rhythm game.

I'm hoping the overhaul the basic gameplay altogether. I still stand by feeling that a split eyeline (notes going opposite directions) was a bad call, and the issue would only be exacerbated on the big screen.

They need to be consistent with notes matching up to the rhythm. Some of the scratch notes in P4D were there just because, with no link to the gameplay.

The scoring system and fail states suck too..


Oh and the remixes just weren't amazing. Especially considering how great the original music was. Trailers seem to be continuing the same level of quality too...

Man the Persona 3 music was pretty great in that trailer... Didn't care for the Persona 5 music they used there unless that was a new track.

Man the character models for the P3 cast look great. Yukari in particular really benefits from this because shes always meant to be a kind of 'preppy' character and I never thought her official art (or the terrible P3 PS2 models) really captured that.

Hahahah, I was going to ask who the fuck would buy a rhythm game with P5's music. What a disappointment it was on that regard after P3 and P4.

All in all I think this may be a bit too greedy and may bite them in the ass. P4 had massively popular characters and amazing music. P5... not so much. And it has been quite a long time since P3.

As I said above... probably not. P4: DAN's models never got used outside of that game so I highly doubt P3: DMN will either.

Yeah they will roll-out the other characters later. When 4D was revealed we didn't get to see much besides P4MC, Rise and the other idol girl.
