Spent this afternoon working on an EyePet parody video...
STOP EYEPET ABUSE!
Wish there were more pictures of unhappy EyePets on the net.

Nice improvement over the DS3 version of course, but they took many shortcuts to add Move support. For once, there is no real 1:1 tracking. Throwing dynamics work exactly like with the DS3. As well as spin ones, oddly enough. You'll see in the vid.

Every new game is like trying to find some new ideal setting, some new bullshit with what works for every individual player. That's exactly why I hate motion gaming in the first place.
Never, ever do I have to think about a regular controller for more than two seconds.
so much cuteness in that video....Mofo said:Spent this afternoon working on an EyePet parody video...

Amir0x said:Except the technology needs to be improved without requiring such ridiculous floor space. If they advertised that you needed two football lengths before it was recognized, it would "work as advertised" and still be completely fucking bullshit.

I told about how it works for me and this is the 2nd time you've raved about my "fanboy mastabatory fantasy"
its not like I didn't have issues with
a) kungfu riders
b) flightcontrol HD music issues
Killthee said:Don't think so. AFAIK, game patches are tied to the region of the game.
You're probably just downloading the Title Update which I believe came out earlier this week. You'll still need the Move unlock key for your region. If you're in N.A., you have to be a PS+ member to download it right now. Everyone else in N.A. has to wait till next month. If you're in Europe, you can download the key right now from the store.

ok I guess... it's not as if he's lying to make it seem better.. that's just he's experience, perhaps with a bit of rose tinted glasses, but not with the purpose to trick someone into anything..
Probably not. With the only bundle being sports champion (or eyepet lol) in the US, those run for $100, 2nd move controller is $50 and nav controllers are $30 a piece.kpop100 said:Quick question about pricing. I preordered the Biohazard Move pack (game, motion controller, camera), a 2nd Move controller and 2 Navigation controllers off Amazon JP for about $170.
I'll be in the US in a couple weeks, can I do better than that for bundles and pricing? If so I'll cancel my order and just grab one while there.
Probably fixes the leaderboardsgluv65 said:patch in sports champions, what does it fix or add? 18Mb
Amir0x said:a fanboy doesn't consciously try to trick people (well, most of the time), they're simply burdened with the inherent flaw of having the wrong mindset from the get go. They can't be objective about anything they might be talking about, it's not in their nature. They have to make excuses for the majority of anything associated with their chosen sacred cow.
A fanboy can never have a valued opinion about games.

I just hope you don't think I'm a fanboy because I usually prefer Nintendo stuff and have to roll on a limited budget thanks to living in the all mighty south america.Amir0x said:a fanboy doesn't consciously try to trick people (well, most of the time), they're simply burdened with the inherent flaw of having the wrong mindset from the get go. I don't see what's funny, I enjoy having discussions here, and it would be a damn shame if posters believed that, not just him.Jax said::lol :lol :lol

AndyD said:Then when people are trying to figure it out to try and provide some help you go off on wild accusatory tangents.
AndyD said:First of all, you dont mention which games you tried.
AndyD said:In any case, Eyepet is somewhat fickle to the room conditions. The best I can suggest is make sure you have front lighting (behind the Eye, not behind the player) or strong overhead lighting and that the camera is pointed at the floor at about a 45 degree angle.
I had issues with that game with the exact same thing, floor space, and I did not need to clear floor space, what I needed was a stronger light in the room. I only had a weak side lamp on the couch side table on and the weak over head light. Eyepet just would not recognize the floor no matter what.
So I turned on two side lamps that flank the TV and angled the camera further down rather than point it at the couch and bam! a miracle happened. No more issues, none whatsoever. So for that game I now know I need to change the lighting and setup of the camera, simply by the nature of the game.
Amir0x said:This is all back to my rant back a year about the wiimote... about how even though these controllers are supposed to be about immersion, the 'merging' of controller and player, more frequently than not, these controllers DEMAND the players attention, constantly taking one out of the fun. It's an immersion-killer, really. There's so many hindrances to the proper precision and accuracy of these things that it's hard ever to get the ideal settings for everybody, and that's simply not cool. Until we get to that point, motion controllers will always play second fiddle to superior methods of control.
AndyD said:I hope you figure it out and give it another try because it would be a waste and sad to write it off after one failed attempt. And ask any more questions you may have maybe we can help with your particular setup.
I haven't had any issues. If calibrating the controller every game is a issue....I don't know what to say.Amir0x said:I've had issues with every single game so far utilizing MOVE. Your "suggestions" just continue to highlight the very thing I've kept pointing out. Nobody seems to disagree with it at all, they just refuse to come to my conclusion about it.
