Amirox - I'm not trying to be rude, or insulting, but why are you being so insulting to everyone? It seems a bit over the top to go after people like we're idiots because we understand the limits of technology, and are simply willing to not care because we enjoy the experience it provides us.
I mean, I totally get your stance man, and I think you have every right to feel the way you do, it's your opinion. However, I don't think we should be slinging insults or accusations (one way or the other, to people calling out Amirox) just for the sake of 'proving our point'.
It doesn't help your cause of 'objectivity' to walk around calling people fanboys, or insinuating that people who enjoy Move for what it is without complaining 'sheep'. It paints you in a rather negative light as well, and makes it rather easy to simply write off your posts and thoughts all together as a jaded gamer who simply 'doesn't get' motion control (which obviously isn't true, but it's not difficult to come to that conclusion from your posts in this thread).
So, now that my attempt to get us all to hold hands nicely is done, I've got some thoughts of my own!
I really hope that someone down the line can improve the implementation for first person shooters. I think I find my biggest problem simply is having to point the controller at the "deadzone" all the time to stay centered and keep my POV the same. I just don't think we have that "solution" yet to make a first person shooter a truly enjoyable experience.
3rd Person shooters are a different story, and I really REALLY think that RE5 has the right idea, by always keeping your POV the same, and simply limiting where you can aim to that POV. Removing the bounding box all together is a great idea, and mapping all movement to the right stick works well. The only problem introduced here is that it forces the camera to remain behind you at all times (which makes it difficult to move from cover to cover, etc).
So, I think for shooters we still have a ways to go (or maybe we'll never get there). Who knows.
My biggest hope for Move isn't for shooters, it's for 'other' games. I want to see more unique experiences that give me something new, most notably in the puzzle genre. I think there is a lot of potential here to be had for puzzle games, and I hope we get something really awesome really soon.
