Q: Do you need a PS4 Pro to use PS VR?
A: No, all PS4 versions will be capable of running PS VR (PS4 / PS4 Slim / PS4 Pro)

Q: What is the Processor Unit and what does it do? Does PS4 Pro need it?
A: The PU is a small box that comes with your PS VR, it provides HDMI cable management, Social Screen TV output, 3D audio processing, and Cinematic mode.
A: Yes, all PS4 versions require the PU to use PS VR.

Q: Does the Processor Unit support 4K and HDR pass through?
A: The PU pass through supports 1080p signals and also supports 2160p (UHD or 4K) content in YUV 420 color format at up to 60 Hz from a PlayStation Pro. It does not however support HDR signals.

But don't worry, if you do have a PS4 Pro and want HDR but don't want to mess around to much with the cables everytime, there is a Thread About PS4/Pro HDR + PSVR Verified Solutions you can use. Thanks to foolishoptimist for making it.

Q: Can I use PS VR on my PC?
A: No, as of now, only PS4 consoles are officially supported.

Q: How many games are currently in development for PS VR?
A: (A lot) As of now there are hundreds of titles in development for PS VR.

Q: Can I use the SHARE button when playing VR and non-VR PS4 games during Cinematic mode?
A: Yes, all SHARE button functionalities are supported with PS VR.

Q: How long can people safely wear PS VR?
A: It can be worn for extended periods of time. However, it's recommend you take breaks when using PS VR.

So I switched to contact lenses and just started noticing crescent shapes both sides in my lateral field of view. When I focus on them they disappear, similar to blind spots. I assume that's always been there and my eyeglasses just blocked it out before?

Still no news on I Expect You To Die for regions like Germany?
What takes them so long? I am really pissed, just release it in English if you can't translate. Every shitty indie dev manages to release their games for the whole Euro region at the same time.

In Norway we don't have Ace Banana and Pixel Gear :(

I've really been wanting to pick one up the only problem is the vr worlds bundle typically isn't available when I'm ready to pull the trigger, and I don't want the rush of blood bundle from gamestop... I'm kind of feeling like I should just wait till e3 and see if any bundle or price drop is announced, it also helps that I have such a huge backlog of games right now.

April looks great. I am excited to Syren, Syndrome, Mortal Blitz, Don't Knock Twice, and Statik.

Thanks for your tireless work Sangetsu : )

I watched Jurassic Park 3D on my LG OLED..and it looked great.

I think some of yall should give it a chance with the PSVR.

It is on Vudu for $5.

I got too busy and didn't take advantage of my rental to watch it again the next day using the PSVR. It's only for 24hrs.

Edit- Wait I'm not sure if the PSVR's Cinema Mode has 3D using the Vudu app on the PS4. Hold that recommendation. I gotta try to find out myself.

Crazy to think that we're already on another PSVR thread. Still, it's a great piece of equipment, it just needs more quality games to keep the momentum going.

Nice new thread. Good job OP. Like the title as well.

Far point the next game on my list. With the aim controller as well. I just hope Sony supports it with some decent vr shooters.

I'm glad you guys like the thread.

I figured adding the Coming This Month section would make the thread more active because now you guys can be up to date on the latest release. I'll be sure to always update it.

Also The Games section will be updated too, I know there are some games that aren't added, but will add them soon. There are a lot :p

Great thread. Thanks Sangetsu!

Haven't gotten a new game in a while since Zelda is currently taking up most of my time (except today I took a break to play Thimbleweed Park). Really looking forward to Farpoint and will pick up one or two more smaller games until then.

Loved my experiences with VR so far, Resi 7 being the best of the bunch, Nothing comes close in gaming too the feeling you get while immersed in VR.

Going back to gaming on a TV felt like a step back bigtime and still feels like routine no matter what new game you play.

Starblood Arena, coming 4/11, looks awesome. It's sort of a Descent style arena shooter with 6 degrees of freedom.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrUUXLk09eA&t

Multi focused but there is some single player stuff as well.

Yes! I cannot wait for this one. I hope it is popular enough to have a good community as it looks really fun. Definitely getting the same Descent vibes from it, and it's reminding me of all the great times I had playing that on Kali back in the day.

Those Social Screen gifs in the OP are unviewable. It says the owner has set them to private. :/ We can change what's displayed on the Tv while we're in VR? :O Because I've been waiting for a chance to check out this porn I downloaded.

I don't think you can change it. That part of the OP probably means specific games like Keep Talking and Noone Explodes (where VR user sees a bomb and the TV shows a manual.

You could just turn the TV off, or change channel :p

Let me show you through these halls, my friend, where treasures of indie gaming await...
Korix? did anyone try it yet?

My shorter Korix impressions ->
Bought and played an hour of Korix. Very neat. Playing through the harder campaign settings will likely still take me a few hours, but I am very much looking forward to dive into MP in a few days.

The RTS/Tower Defense mechanism work really well, although I kinda wish it had ... more of everything. More maps, more modes, more units, but even then the base it has atm is very well polished and already a ton of fun, since much of the possible strategy also comes from tower placement.

Definitely another game on the "grab those games if you have a psvr" list.

That's a really nice list in the op. Too many trailers to watch right now, but so far I'm most interested in Dino Frontier and What Did I Do to Deserve This for future releases

As a person that has a 4k / RGB / HDR TV, the moment the PU box allows 4k HDR pass through is the moment I buy VR.

Hopefully their next hardware revision of it allows that.
